M1 exit w/ temp plate question

I think that might be an issue. I think the temp. permit is just to get the bike to a safety station. Dave

    Ownership troubles...

I bought a bike from someone who had never changed the ownership from the previous owner. No issues at ministry.

3 days and still no safety

I asked my mechanic (Auto) who has safetied about eight bikes for me in the last four years, if he could send someone out to my place to do a safety. He said no, has to be done at certified place of business. Which makes sense if you think about it.

    Scorpian EXO-1000 opinions?

Have an EXO-700 which I really like. Got if half price at GP for $150 couple of years ago. I would definitely look at another Scorpion helmet.

Anybody know if there is a Ural demo day anywhere in Ontario this summer?

I'd check with Peterborough Cycle Salvage since they are the importer. Dave

Mixed feelings with GP Bikes -- and my own lack of mechanical knowledge.

I agree that taking it different places would start to make it hard to figure out 'who dun what'. There's a saying in business, it's not so much the mistakes you make as how yo deal with them. Sounds like GP Bikes wants to keep your business. There's no substitution for your personal knowledge...

How much should i sell my bike for? 09 600rr

When it comes to selling bikes, look at what others are asking, then price yours a bit lower and hope for a decent buyer. You have to totally forget what the bike means to you, how much you've spent on it, how it's been babied, sellers care about one thing - price.. My two cents Dave

Tires tires Tires - what tires are best for touring?

Yes, but on my Trophy I have also kind of squared them off - not enough twisties!

We WERE all set to start the motorcycle lifestyle...

Have your wife take the course as well; she'll have a much better appreciation for biking and may find, like my wife, that she loves it and gets her own bike! Dave

    Tank Bags

Roadpak here as well. I used to use the steering head strap but found out no need to. Very strong magnets, also much easier to put on and off without the strap. Dave

    ICON Helmets

I also had an Alliance SSR. I traded up to a Scorpion EXO 700 and there is absolutely no comparison. Fit, noise, venting, all way superior. The Scorpion is an excellent helmet as many reviews attest. There is a place in the states right now offering them for $99 plus $30 shipping to Canada. A...

Bike for wife - Under $2500

We've got a 1983 Suzuki Tempter that I just took off the road yesterday. My wife is 5'2" and it was just a tad too big for her heightwise but she liked it in every other way (lots of torque makes it easy to ride). Approx 23,000km and in good shape, a few dings here and there. We'd probably...

Help finding a low bike for my wife

I bought my wife a 1974 Honda CB125 (11 hp) :), it was great for her to learn on for a year, 200lbs. Then she rode our 1983 Suzuki GR650 which was a little bit too big, although after a few drops (not moving, she could ride it fine) I got her a 1979 Suzuki GS425 which is almost the same power...

Anybody with a Sport-Touring Motorcycle that Tours?

I have a 1999 Triumph Trophy 1200. Last year my wife and I went to Thunder Bay. Love the bike, hauls a ton of gear and handled great with its new Avon Storm tires!

    North Shore of Lake Superior

I was specifically referring to the east-west part of 11 as being boring. I don't mind the north-south part as much (i.e. Cochrane to Huntsville, although they are screwing that part up with the divided highway). It was amazing how much highway construction was going on. Here you are in the...
