yeah, insurance should be able to cover it. and yeah with my bags covering the actual GS500F stickers, most people mistake it for a gixxer. there is also a very nice aprillia in my lot!

so someone tried to steal my bike last night...

So someone tried to steal my bike last night. Suzuki GS500F 2006. Thankfully it seems they had no clue what they were doing and just managed to completely destroy my key-lock-ignition barrel. my key doesnt fit anymore and so i can't use the bike. Now my poor bike is a paperweight. :( Do I...

Saving the reflective coating on visor

i have used my HJC blue mirrored tint for about 7 seasons now. it has some scratches but not anywhere near unusable. the tint is on the outside. i clean it as a normal visor and it serves me well.

    New helmet design: very cool

seems like the natural evolution of helmet design. nice. if they have brought it to market, then they have done their testing, and if it will be sold here and DOT certified, it will be safe. Just like FLOW bindings for snowboards and other new innovations, there is resistance, but crap on...

    GS 500 vs Ninja 500

I have been on my GS500F for 7 years now. ridden mostly as an occasional recreation and commute on the sunny days. i have been 2-up on many rides with many different passengers and all was easy and smooth. they do sit lower than the supersports, which is good and comfy for them, but you will...

Ninja 250 low beam and brake light not working

so the headlight low beam is out, and the high beam still works. and when you apply the brakes, your tail light does not get any brighter (or it is always bright). yes? i would think that this is a headlight bulb issue. replace the headlight bulb and i think your issues will be solved.

Ocasional rough start, sometimes slow to get going and other related questions

^^ what he said. start the bike with the choke on full. it may need a slight blip to get up to speed but it should idle up to about 4 when the choke is full on. let it warm up a bit and slowly reduce the choke as you get a feel for when the engine is warm. if you cut the choke too soon, it...

    Lowsided my bike

+1 to this. if it doesnt make noise or make riding harder for you just live with it while you can. if you spend $300 now, and a month later you go down again (knock on wood) then you will have just flushed money down the drain. if you don't care about the look of it so much, there is no harm...

    Hi/Low Beams: legal vs etiquette

wow. seriously. so this is what is in the mind of people who ride around with their high beams all the time. i was wondering what kind of special thoughts they had. not everyone was special enough to stare at the sun as a child and become immune to bright lights in contrast to regular...
