The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

I wonder if you could get it certified without the ABS if it was OEM? I'm kind of looking at/for an FJR and there are a few from the years 05 & 06 that are really good deals with mileage from about 60K to 120K in the $3-5K price range, depending how far you want to go the see/get it. Same goes...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I have experienced that pain. I extracted it with heat and vice grips, but at this time I would likely use a dremel with a cut off disk to make at least one flat side. I have a right angle attachment for mine, but I think you could get in there to make a flat spot.

Do Quebec`s rules for new riders make sense?

It's the Canadian way; reinvent the wheel wherever possible, preferably to ensure that you gain the MAXIMUM APPEARANCE of effectiveness without actually accomplishing anything that might take effort or effective use of resources. License restrictions for learners or restrictions on engine size...

    CVMG Rally Burford

The remote parking for cars and trucks is a good idea. We went to the Maple festival in Warkworth back in March and that's how they did it as there wasn't enough parking available at the sugarbush. I hope they can sort it out with the community. I didn't see any frayed nerves or anything, but...

    CVMG Rally Burford

It was a good event and a nice venue, and yeah they really need to sort the parking and use more of the fair grounds. Perhaps the parking could be done through the first entrance to the site. It seemed busier than recent years on Saturday, so perhaps the change in venue brought more people...

    CVMG Rally Burford

I sometimes have that problem as well. In the case of the CVMG rally, she now remembers to ask me first about "that Saturday in June", and to make plans accordingly.

    CVMG Rally Burford

I'm looking forward to it. I've gone since it was at the Welland MC site. It's always been a nice ride, though sprawl has made it less so over the years. Paris was a great location, and I'm sure Burford will be too.

Hopefully it stranded you before doing damage to the hub.

    Ear buds

Evoex suggested some earplug/earphone things that I bought and used before I had the Cardo set up. I still use the headphones when I'm cutting the grass wearing muffs. They work well, stay in the ear inside the helmet, and stay comfy for quite a while. The 2 plugs are wired together. Looking at...

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

I'd think the purchaser would be best off swapping out the engine for a BMW to solve that issue, unless there's chassis parts that are hard to substitute.

    Meditative riding, preferences and hondas

Virtually any or most modern motorcycle can be easy, as in always ready to go and get back without incident or worry. It all depends on the riding you want to do. For general street street riding in urban, suburban, highway and country 2-lane there are literally dozens of new models available...

    CarPlay

The unit did work well, certainly no complaints there. If I still had my 1090 I would have mounted it permanently as well as there was room under the seat for the fuse box you use, and I believe there was also a switched accessory connection under the seat as well as the one in the fairing. I...

    CarPlay

No, my phone overheated. Agreed about the lack of a power switch. I (now) have an accessory USB connection on the side of my headlight cowl and I've connected it to the switched option. I've already sent the unit back as the availability of the switched power source didn't change the only...

    1st gen KLR 650 feedback

I've never owned one, but I have ridden one. A lot of KLR's have covered a lot of miles for a lot of people. I've never met anyone who knew what the bikes limitations are who regretted owning one. If you've owned/ridden a big single before you know generally what to expect performance and...

    CarPlay

The unit works well, is good and bright and seems easy to use. Installation was simple and straitforward. BUT I don't think I'll keep it. I have until June 17 to send it back to Amazon. First, while keeping my phone in the tank bag it got too hot according to the message it sent me, and it was...

    CarPlay

I just installed a carpuride on my GasGas 700 dual sport yesterday. I got the 6" one, W603 I think. My only criticism is that it doesn't have a power switch on the unit, only on the controller. They encourage hooking it up on a switched acc circuit. I find it odd, but Amazon was about $100...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

We must share an imagination then, because I think they are as well. On facebook I've seen stuff with prices reduced and still sitting until reduced again. I've seen Yamaha FJR's with less than 100,000Km listed for $4 or 5k or even less depending on age. If you've got a bit of money to spare...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Well done! That's how you do it; "priced to sell" doesn't mean giving it away, it just means you ACTUALLY DO know what you have and priced it accordingly.
