    Window shopping again

Precisely. Tooling around the backroads north of Kingston, it was absolutely in it's natural habitat.

    Window shopping again

I've spent 4hrs. strait in the saddle riding home from a cottage, stopping for gas without dismounting. It's comfy even with the stock seat and gets good range from a tank.

    Window shopping again

I'm chronic shopper. Studio Cycle had this 2022 v85tt with low km, full luggage set, heated grips, centre stand, cruise and some warranty left for sale so I decided to go look at it. I've wanted one since they came out. Next thing I know I'm putting a deposit on it, without having sold my...

That is hilarious. Is there even $100 worth of junk there?

    Soon to be Harley owner?

Honestly, for the money they'll ask for that PanAm derived sport bike I'd rather have this. I find this thing and the storz street trackers to be the ultimate expression of a Harley, at least it's a Harley that I'd want. Expensive, raw, rare, uncomfortable, loud and completely impractical...

    Soon to be Harley owner?

I prefer the looks of the old one. Its design was influenced by the XR750 and though it didn't sell well at the time it is a classic. The new one looks like it's on stilts. It's going to spend even less time off-road that the PamAm so why does it need to sit so high? In the end I don't care...

Why are cruisers so darn cheap?

"Current generation would sooner can only afford to look at them on a phone." The smart, driven, dedicated, hard-working, entrepreneurial and fortunate ones are too busy paying down their half-million dollar mortgages to buy an expensive toy. The others can't afford it either.

Why are cruisers so darn cheap?

"Eclectic" is the nicest word I've ever heard to describe the looks of the Madura. In all the years of slagging, I've never heard about how it performs. I always thought the original V-Max was cool looking, and the HD VROD Muscle in the same way but both are entirely impractical for my riding...

"trade for something interesting. No junk " - I think what he means is, "No MORE junk; I already have some."

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Could be a repo, could be a stolen recovery, could be an insurance write-off, could be a write-off with structural damage like bent forks or damaged frame or it could actually be a good deal. I've seen lightly used V7's selling for near that amount so it's not impossible.

Whats up with toronto motorcycle police?

I recall quite a few years ago a cop talking about why HD bikes were preferred over BMW's saying that back then he could push a car off the road with the Harley without doing any damage to the bike, whereas with the BMW (maybe it was Kawasaki) they risked bending or otherwise screwing up forks...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

I wonder if you could get it certified without the ABS if it was OEM? I'm kind of looking at/for an FJR and there are a few from the years 05 & 06 that are really good deals with mileage from about 60K to 120K in the $3-5K price range, depending how far you want to go the see/get it. Same goes...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I have experienced that pain. I extracted it with heat and vice grips, but at this time I would likely use a dremel with a cut off disk to make at least one flat side. I have a right angle attachment for mine, but I think you could get in there to make a flat spot.

Do Quebec`s rules for new riders make sense?

It's the Canadian way; reinvent the wheel wherever possible, preferably to ensure that you gain the MAXIMUM APPEARANCE of effectiveness without actually accomplishing anything that might take effort or effective use of resources. License restrictions for learners or restrictions on engine size...

    CVMG Rally Burford

The remote parking for cars and trucks is a good idea. We went to the Maple festival in Warkworth back in March and that's how they did it as there wasn't enough parking available at the sugarbush. I hope they can sort it out with the community. I didn't see any frayed nerves or anything, but...

    CVMG Rally Burford

It was a good event and a nice venue, and yeah they really need to sort the parking and use more of the fair grounds. Perhaps the parking could be done through the first entrance to the site. It seemed busier than recent years on Saturday, so perhaps the change in venue brought more people...
