From the research I did, yes it would work but you don't want to use vinegar...
(Science words go here, yata yata yata), so I think with vinegar there is a chance it will "flash rust" again... BUT coke will actually magically turn the old rust into a protective barrier instead of just...
So... trying to spell this out slowly because concussed brain no fast think...
You're saying the black ooze is from aluminum rubbing up on rust, not from the coke mixing with the rust, is that correct?
If so, I might have to go back out and retry this on the next rusty bike in the garage...
1000%. Most of my favorite purchases have been 10 year old bikes with low mileage.
My still MINT 2006 Vespa GTS 250ie had like 1k km when I bought it a few years ago for like $2,500 from the original owner. Got it home, figured out pretty quick why he never rode the thing: voltage regular was...
Took 20 years but I finally put aluminum foil and Coca-Cola on a motorcycle to the test.
One part physics
One part chemistry
One part something flew into my garage and made me scream like a little *****.
Any thoughts on what to price a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 300 with only 1,100 km?
A couple scratches just on one side, very light. I put almost 100 of the 1,100 km on this bike to make sure it's all good.
Everything feels great and I was impressed with the bike... The Ninja 300, even at 10 years...
Yep. Business as usual at Hypocrisy Inc.
Makes sense. If I were delusional enough to think buying a new Harley was a good idea, $2,500 more or less on the price tag isn't getting me out of CAMH any faster.
Am I the only one who finds shampoo'ing my hair in the shower does a better job getting stuff out from around my finger nails than the orange grit stuff?
When it's riding season and my body's healthy, my hair is like 80% hair, 20% motorcycle grease and chain lube.
I think that was the issue with it that I had that I forgot yesterday.... When the system becomes a joke, it erodes people taking the system seriously, and encourages people to just ignore it since they see it as a sham anyway.
If they kept a real tight list, that every motorcyclist was like...
Had one guy list a bike for sale months after he bought it from me... with the pictures he took INSIDE of my house (I stored it in a spare room I record some videos in over the winter when he had come to see it). Did not appreciate that :\
What a silly world we live in where two disk brakes = more unsafe than one...
Like a F700GS is any less safe than the F650GS before it... They use the same motor, they're 90% the same motorcycle. But BMW gave the 700GS an extra front disk for added safety danger!
Gimmeafuckinbreak lol
So for anyone else who was like "What the **** is this thread talking about?" like I was...
here is the top secret and confidential link to the article: https://www.advrider.com/do-quebecs-rules-for-new-riders-make-sense/
here is the list of high risk motorcycles...
