Pretty sure I did a nine part series involving a Moto Guzzi V7 that was a theft recovery bought from that exact dealership.......
Yes, yes I did.
Summary: It took a village to make it (mostly) okay again.
Carlo at Moto Motori diagnosing something issues, throwing a spare part in there that...
Why? Wanna buy it?
I doubt it's going to cost much to get it running to be honest. It's something in the fuel delivery. We've got spark and air. The motor looks good, has less than 10,000 km, and those big ol Guzzi tractor-like motors are as reliable as a mother in law's nagging. I'm not...
It has some risers on there in the pic. This is a heavy 1100cc enduro. About 590 lbs wet. **** me. With my shoulder still a mess from last year's car accident, especially with any weight getting close to shoulder height or above, I could barely push this thing around.
Removing the risers helped...
Thanks! It found me. The owner reached out asking if I might be interested in it.
I was like "Oh cool!" .... and immediately started Googleing wtf a Moto Guzzi Quota is.
A few people have told me that Quotas are ugly as sin but otherwise excellent motorcycles... I can't comment on excellence...
I found a broken spark plug in a Moto Guzzi Quota 1100 ES that no one has been able to get started in years!!!
Replaced both plugs, gapped em good, hit the starter, and!!!!!!
Piece of **** still won't start.
(it's with Carlo at Moto Motori now... concussionbrain can only...
Too far outside of my wheelhouse, I'd be a fraud. Can barely spell electrolysis, plus with the concussion from last year's accident, learning anything new is still a tall task :\
I'm livin' la vida Homer Simpson these days.
My 2010 Vespa S150 never got over 100 km/hr.
11.4 hp on the carb'd ones and 11.7 hp on the injected ones (2010 was a transition year)...
And yes... since the hp are barely out of single digits, we count the decimal points lol
I really loved that bike though. It was slow without ever...
Listed at $4K, a little more than the "reasonable" price but it includes safety and delivery for the asking price... and take it as-is where-is for best offer... so... if new riders want things taken care of for them, they've got the option.
Here's the pic again:
1,100 km! wtf!
PS: It's a 50. The speedometer on the 50s only went up to 80 because the bike only went up to about 65. The 150s would show I think up to 120 km/hr on the speedos, which lead some either greasy-or-idiot sellers to say their 150cc Vespe were capable of doing 120.... It happens a lot.
Hunting burgers are ya? lol
Personally if I were doing a cross Canada tour starting from Toronto, I'd go to the east coast, or through the US if going west... I tour on a little 650GS, **** prairie winds lol
Yep. I think that's why the poor man's de-rusting of a motorcycle tank, if you don't want to spend money on the actual acid, is to just pour coke in there.
