Best bike for you is the one you already own. Its paid for!
The grass isn't always greener.
Eg. -A v-strom 650 is a boring utility tool. It works for some, but its not generally the bike you turn around to see one more time as you walk out of the garage. I think you'd get bored of that, as...
Honestly... there's no perfect bike.
Are you happy with the power?
Seating position?
Weight?
Comfort?
Wind protection? Or lack there-of.
I'd put a rack on the back, with a rotopax mount; incase you get range induced paranoia.
Make it your own. Its always a compromise.
Since you're not on the...
We're in a recession. Toys are the first to go.
Not many with disposable income right now... for Ducati scramblers, or collectible mid 80's 2 stroke 500s.

Its funny, I saw a Griso in Georgetown a couple hours ago... thought it might have been a Stelvio, but the wheels looked to be 17".

Yep.
+ a cheap CT digital vernier gauge to check the thickness of the friction plates, and a .pdf manual.
Great bike to learn on. Dead reliable. Basic bush-pig.

Pretty sure the front sprocket looks like this.
Pretty fool-proof
O.p., no time like the present to buy some tools and learn. Take the clutch cover off.
Pull the bolts out of the pressure plate. Measure the discs.
The clutch cable should have an adjustment at the clutch actuation arm, off...
Almost 2 spots. Against the steering lock? The only way you could do better, do like Gene did. Lean the bike in more than your body, twist your torso around more. Lock the throttle hand, and use the rear brake to tighten your line.
I honestly don't think it gets much better on a "land barge"...
As much as I do like the vfr800, I'd still take a street triple for double the $$$ of that one.
Cheap isn't always the best.

Earlier ones ('12-) were geared lower, so they're a little more rowdy.
Identical engines.
Mine is a '14. I'm satisfied.
@Priller the 675 takes regular fuel. I'm getting around 5.2L/100km when I'm easy on it.
That might push you over the edge. The Tuono takes premium, and as you know, its...
I'm riding tonight. Be there just after 6pm. Rollout at 6:30.
We won't go so far this week. Darkness is upon us.
Likely the Guelph run. Should keep us out of the traffic.

I let a friend ride my Str675r... she put it into a ditch.
Financial loss, but wasn't worth the buyback.
Counts as an "at fault" for me, even though she has a comparable bike with full insurance, and she was at fault for her single vehicle accident.
Just as a back-story...
I went and bought...
I was in the same boat.
Sold my 2017 Tuono.
Went single bike for a bit (not long...)
Rode my wr250x, pinned everywhere.
Got a cheap 600 to fix and thrash, but it didn't turn my crank, unless it was at full song; but then everyone knew I was speeding...
Tried everything I could get my hands...
