To be fair, back then you could actually get somewhere for $10 in a taxi. Now when I spend $10 in a taxi I get about a 2 minute walk from where I got in the taxi. Fuel prices aren't what they used to be and I think we can't judge things as if they're still the same.

Wasn't suggesting it as a replacement for an impact gun. I was suggesting it as a replacement for power ratchet.

Reminder, a good mid-size drill can put out about 50 ft lbs of breakaway torque... you pair that with the adapter I posted for $9, and you don't need to use two tools for one job anymore, and that $100 you just saved on your power ratchet can go in your gas tank... Food for thought.
