Ok so if I did this right I have nothing lol
Now I’m assuming you meant for me to take the positive side of jumper from car to the positive lead on my bike yes ? If so nothing happened
Well I don’t think my battery is dead, as when I had the battery out from the 1100 I decided to hook that battery up to my little Suzuki s40 I have and the battery from the 1100 started the s40 after about 7cranks of it turning over.
So there is a issue else where it seems 🤔
I’m gonna test...
The little red wire is a black/red wire that is a ground for the led underflow lights. They’ve been on the bike since I bought it
Well before I seen this reply, I decided to take the battery outta my other bike much smaller. After I had it hooked up the bike it would would crank but SLOW...
I tried that as well thinking maybe the starter was stuck or jammed but didn’t help.
I even put it in gear and pulled clutch in and moved bike back and forth making sure nothing in motor was jammed. From when I had the stator case cover off (left side) bike would move as normal but it...
So when I pulled the plugs, and tried it was exactly the same as when plugs were in the engine like before nothing changed, did not matter whether key was on or off or hitting the start button all was the same
So then I decided to try this
When I put the multimeter on the starter (positive)...
So when the bike is off it’s 12.86 and then when turning the key it slowly trickles down as the dash and headlight is on. When hit the start button that’s when it goes down to 6-8
Battery test with multimeter at 12.86 resting and off, once you turn the key the loads pulls it down to 6-8.
But if it was battery the bike should have started once the battery leads were hooked up the car battery correct ?
Ya I just tried starting the bike after being on a slow charge for the light and nothing.
So then I disconnected the bike battery and put the jumpers from the car right on the bikes leads and still nothing.
Then I tried to put a wire from battery ground to the starter like suggested and...
Well I have the charger on it for over night and it set at 2amps/hr
Don’t think I’ll have any luck with it as such but we will see, I’ll try to get a video of it when it hooked up to the car as well or I can and post it
So when I had the car beside the bike, I hooked up the jumpers and the bike was off. I ran the car to drive a charge from the car battery to my bike battery. After about ten minutes of the car running I shut it off. As you’re not suppose to try boosting when the boosting car is on/running...
