Perhaps changing to react to the new Yamaha Venture and Eluder. Nice bikes priced at $31,999.00 and $27,099.00. The Venture has sold out in Canada at the moment, all production has been to fill pre-orders. I was unable to get a delivery date on the Eluder.
MC's Speednchrome, 110 Saunders Rd in Barrie. You can see the shop off the 400 at Mapleview. Bike shop run by bikers, most ex HD employees. Excellent service, excellent prices and they are honest. Have had my work done by thesae guys for the last 3 or 4 years. Fully licensed mechanics that...
You have the Metzler 880's listed twice and no 888. I hear good things about the Commander II's and the ME888. Both do well for traction and longevity but are definitely higher priced than Shinko. From what I hear Shinko has great traction but poor longevity. Since you don't have the 888's...
My bike was off by 9%. Fixed it with a speedo healer. Makes me happier to know that the speedo is right on now, hated trying to figure out in my head what the actual speed was.
You are correct. The two metal connectors interlock and there is no way they can separate unless you squeeze both tabs to disengage them. The plastic is not used in the connection and has no function other than to provide a means to get the helmet off.
I have been using these for years on my helmets. It is an excellent product and actually stronger than just the D ring itself. The only issue is sometimes the mechanism does not go straight in but you get used to doing it so that doesn't happen. The upside is you just put your helmet on and...
I personally like the vstar 650. Small enough to learn on yet big enough to be able to do the highway rides with you right away. A friend that rides with me bought one after not riding for many years. We took it to Pennsylvania and back with no issues on our last trip. He's had it for 3...
There's a guy at the 400 flea market that does all kinds of alterations. He's done quite a few things for me and the results are always great. I was skeptical at first but he's pretty good at what he does. He has the leather booth on the south side of the market next to the door from the...
Biggest problem they had is no dealer network. Really loved the Victory designs but I'm sorry but I'm not riding 110 kms to get my bike serviced. Now that Polaris has pulled the plug I would be hesitant to buy an Indian because if they start having trouble financially Polaris will just shut it...
Yamaha accessory pricing is way out to lunch. About 3 to 4 times more than aftermarket. There's quite a few items I would love to put on my bike but I'm not paying the ridiculous amount they want. Too bad, if they were more reasonable they'd probably easily triple their accessory sales. Even...
Head up to Renfrew. Then do hwy 60 through Barry's Bay and Algonquin Park. Eventually hooking up to 35 and down into Lindsay. Then take 7 to hwy 12 and go north to 48 and then east to 6. Take 6 a short way to 45 and head back east to 503, 118,28,154,515, Calabogie. Lots of great riding in...
When I lived in Toronto I was able to rent a garage from a lady that didn't own a car but had a garage in the back of her property. It was nice because it also gave me a place to work on the bike and had power running to it from the house.
I went there to get some oil and was told by the parts department not to come back in the future because they only had four 4 litre containers and I took 2 of them. Said they won't be re-ordering so if I came back they likely wouldn't have it as they are dropping the Yamaha line.
After 10 years of riding stock pipes I put a set of loud ones on. I didn't do it for safety or to annoy people, I did it to increrase the performance so I didn't need to buy a bigger bike. Three times now I have seen car drivers hear me and physically get out of my way when they were about to...
