East Coast Tour GTA to Halifax

I assume the Cabot Trail is on your itinerary. If you want a suggestion for a motel along there there are some little Cabins in Ingonish that are really nice, with jacuzzis and satelite TV. Igonish is towards the end of the trail if you enter by the Big Red Barn. If you're traveling off season...

Bike Barn, cycleshell, Ride Inn or other

Hi all. So, I think I'm in the Market for one of these contraptions for my driveway. I'd like to know some opinions on how the different options stack up to each other. So far, I find the cycle shell most visibly appealing, but I'm not sure about the toughness of the materials compared to other...

Getting insured with no prior driving history or license

I got my m1 at 30 with no driving experience at all. My first policy was through Riders Plus. I think it was for $1400 (now down to less than $800 through Meloch Monnex). I've only ridden cruisers though.

    We laugh at them, but...

I hate them. That said, they are bar none the fastest way to get around at rush hour. Even though I'd feel like a total idiot I'm tempted to get one. This whole 45 minutes to go 7 km isnt cutting it.

Heated jacket liner OR thick leather jacket?

I ripped out my heated grips this year after they stopped working. Who ever said so is correct, once you have them its hard not to have them. But I found them unreliable. I'm going to wait until summer (hopefully there will be a sale somewhere) and pick up the matching gloves for my liner.

Heated jacket liner OR thick leather jacket?

Both, and a good pair of gloves and you'll be good till it snows.

    Toddler helmets?

Hi all. I have a coworker whose 3 year old is obsessed with motorcycles. Apparently he dresses up like one to go to school and tells everyone that he is a "Motorcycle dude". She's buying him some battery powered ducatti (?) for xmas, but says he really wants a helmet (lucky kid right?). Does...

Need help shipping a bike from Moncton to Toronto

Be a cowboy. Get a heated liner, check for rain and ride it home. Its a days ride. As long as it doesnt rain it wont be a problem. Not the best weather but you can do it.

    speeding cam tix while crashing

Not just on the highway. When they set up some times downtown they delay traffic for miles. They often set up speed traps at Broadview and Danforth - sometimes at rush hour. Whenever they do traffic gets backed up for miles. Same with Bloor and Bay, where they have a high presence during rush...

    passed

On a related note. I had this guy trying to ride side by side with me on Bloor in traffic the other day. He insisted on trying to keep pace with me and then chat me up at each stop. He was too funny. He had a brand new fully loaded Harley, leather jacket with this eagle thing on the back of it...

What is a good GPS for a bike.

i ran into a biker the other day at Canadian Tire. We was showing me a waterproof garmin that he just bought for $150 with unlimited map updates. I already have a nuvi 550 so I didnt get the model number or anything but it looked cool.

    My first crash :-(

Sorry to hear it man. I often notice that drivers, particularly in larger vehicles, drive with the mentaility that they are going to go wherever they want and its other people's responsibility to stop and accommodate them. It doesnt matter if they see you or not, they're going and tough luck for...
