I got my m1 at 30 with no driving experience at all. My first policy was through Riders Plus. I think it was for $1400 (now down to less than $800 through Meloch Monnex). I've only ridden cruisers though.

I hate them. That said, they are bar none the fastest way to get around at rush hour. Even though I'd feel like a total idiot I'm tempted to get one. This whole 45 minutes to go 7 km isnt cutting it.

I ripped out my heated grips this year after they stopped working. Who ever said so is correct, once you have them its hard not to have them. But I found them unreliable. I'm going to wait until summer (hopefully there will be a sale somewhere) and pick up the matching gloves for my liner.

Be a cowboy. Get a heated liner, check for rain and ride it home. Its a days ride. As long as it doesnt rain it wont be a problem. Not the best weather but you can do it.

Not just on the highway. When they set up some times downtown they delay traffic for miles. They often set up speed traps at Broadview and Danforth - sometimes at rush hour. Whenever they do traffic gets backed up for miles. Same with Bloor and Bay, where they have a high presence during rush...

On a related note. I had this guy trying to ride side by side with me on Bloor in traffic the other day. He insisted on trying to keep pace with me and then chat me up at each stop. He was too funny. He had a brand new fully loaded Harley, leather jacket with this eagle thing on the back of it...
