would you take a picture if you saw someone sketchy staring at your bike?

No offence, but the way your post reads some dude was walking by your house and stopped to look at you're bike, at which point you assumed he was bad news, started taking pictures of him, and accused him of potential wrong doing because he "looked like he had no business on the sidewalk". All...

    New Rider, Any recommended Shops?

There is a member on the forum, Kneedragger88 (Ken) who will pick up your bike, fix/maintain it, and then return it to you. He is very reasonably priced and does quality work. PM him. Only thing is he tends to get busy so have a back up plan just in case.

would you take a picture if you saw someone sketchy staring at your bike?

Although I dont believe the OP did anything illegal, or wrong, I would hate to live in a world where I felt I needed to take a photo of every stranger that stopped in front of my house to look at my bike. Perhaps better safe than sorry, but I think pulling out the camera might have been a bit of...

    Fell Today in Kitchener

Had a near spill myself about 6 weeks ago on that "s" area on spadina between college and harbord. There was the teeniest bit of gravel and I straightened up just in time for my rear wheel to skip for a split second causing a quick jerk. It can happen at any time.

    new rider, first scare

I'm in my 6th season. The more I'm out there the more I realize that motorcycling is a very internal discipline, especially regarding urban traffic and communting. I get terrible road rage (see Road Rage Thread), and am at constant odds with myself to not make stupid choices in the heat of my...

hope you're not out there riding - Hail storm

Thankfully I was overcome with the urge to watch movies all day yesterday. I had no idea it was going to rain, I emerged from by basement and was blown away by how bad the weather was - out of nowhere it seemed. Bike was outside, no issues. My bikes seen alot of bad weather unfortunately.

    4 stupid tickets at once

Publicly funded police protecting the profits of the 407 ETR conglomerate. What an encouraging use of tax dollars.

    Close call, Got me thinking.............

Good. Maybe they'll have the sense to avoid us then :agave: I agree its ineffective to preach that drivers should simply start seeing bikers. However, there seems to be a general consensus amongst motorists that its ok to think of motorcyclists as invisible, and that if we dont take enough...

    Sharing a parking spot

It depends on how the first bike is parked. If a bike is parked in the center of the space or on a diagonal, I read that as the owner wants the whole space. If its parked to the side, leaving enough room, I read that as an invitation to share the space. I tend to leave enough space for another...

I'd want to punch that guy too, yes. If I knew I would get away with it, and not get my *** kicked, I would probably punch alot of people in traffic.

    Tire pressure question

Hey Torren, thanks for posting. Its always good to get your input. Tires are standard size. I bought the tires at Zdeno Cycles in Kitchener after my rear one blew near there. I'm starting to think the reason for the blow out was low tire pressure - which I normally ran around 34 (Pirelli mt66)...

    Tire pressure question

This does seem logical and straightforward. Thanks for the responses. What has me confused is on the Metzler site it basically says to always follow the manual AND use their reccomendations. Its confusing. Its also not clear from the site what the ratings are for my tire. I have Marathon ME880...

    Tire pressure question

No other experiences/opinions with this? I was hoping for more responses. I've been reading about tire pressure and popular opinion seems to say yopur margin of error is about +/- 6 psi. Metzler here, if I'm reading this correct is reccommending approximately 10 more than my manual.

    Tire pressure question

Thanks for the responses. I checked and its at 40, so I left it alone. I am concerned about this thoug, I always thought tire pressure should be more or less specific.

    Tire pressure question

Hi all. I have a question. I recently got a set of Metzler 880's. On the Metzler site it says two things First it says "Always inflate tires to the correct pressure as indicated in the owner's manual" . The it goes on to give what they consider to be "optimal" tire pressures. For my rear tire...

Why are tickets always being adjusted?

Good answers, thanks. I guess maybe there is some implicit practicalty. It just seems hoaky to me. The law should be fixed imo, but then again I'm not an overburdened legal system.... Edit: Thanks for that link turbodish. That pretty much hit the nail on the head.
