I've changed my own a few times without a tire machine and used 3 levers. It can be a wrestle so depending what you ride and how strong you are, you may want to just drop the wheels out and take them to a shop. It's also not too easy on the rims regarding scratches when using tire levers.

Can you at least comment on his lack of driving gloves and the fact he was maybe wearing slippers while driving the truck.

Re: Looking for Mechanic in York/Durham I use the two guy's at Main Street Customs. They have two guy's who are great with metric and a guy who is good with the US Iron. They are located in Schomberg which is probably the North West end of York region. Easy to get to at Hwy 9 and 27 intersection.
