I can't understand why they use the RF version of the Aprilia, how are mere mortals expected to get one of these? Last I heard George is only getting two and they are both already spoken for. So much for the chances of a demo ride.
Yeah that was us - S1000R hers in white mine is a sort of yellow/green custom colour. There were pics posted in another thread a while back when we were there with the Tuonos.

Even though you may think that your GoPro mount is stuck firmly to your rattle can paint job, you need a tether. I've seen more than a few come off, still firmly stuck to the paint job, it's the paint job that comes off the bike. The new trend is to use wood screws to secure the mount. You...
For those that mentioned it, please reconsider trailering the bike while it's in gear. Bad idea from everything I've read, could be bad for the gearbox and other parts. Or maybe I'm wrong, but I had to say it. And +1 for Pit Bull on a sheet of plywood.
Of course it's available for your bike. If you check Kijiji, Amy Szoke has a set on there for $40. I just ordered and received a set from Blue Streak racing for my wife's S1000RR, I think they were $65. I have a couple sets of the "other" style (Techspec), smoother snakeskin finish you can have...
What they said. Plus a more comfortable seating position. The handlebar height will really determine how much you suffer from the wind. Higher bars means a more upright position, thus more wind. Lower bars is the opposite. So if you have longer arms or are taller you may want to change the bars...
The Performance Under Gear (PUG)s work great, and even help to retain a tiny bit of heat when it's colder outside. The VNM stuff is the best in really hot weather, but we've been waiting for over a year and a half for Aliki to make good on a commitment to us, so it would seem we will be wearing...
Something is definitely wrong if you have to load up on Advil before riding, unless you've been couch surfing all winter. Maybe changes to a few ergos on the XX is all you need, but it's always fun to do some demo rides. Something smaller/lesser power will never give you the highway comfort of...
It is true, you can observe the paint marks on the bead (usually 3 close together) that signify the balance to the tire builders. Whether or not they actually separate the tires into grades I'm not sure, but I have sorted through piles of car tires tat the retailer o find four that needed the...
Why do you find the Blackbird uncomfortable? My thoughts would be to do some demo rides and focus on that area that does not work for you on the XX. Maybe HeliBars on the XX will fix the issue? Or perhaps an MT09 is in your future. Or an S1000R.
There's another scenario - if your stock rear rotor is grooved or worn beyond repair, MikeyMoto's carbon rotor is WAY cheaper than a stock replacement. He also sells a lightweight slotted stainless version for those that are carbon averse. Just a thought, and another way to justify.
You saw he was from the UK, right? British Orientation Technician would be another one. Why bother telling him anything, the Brit version is not the same bike.
We often meet others from Ontario down there, but somehow nobody wants to ride down with us. Hmmmm. Also have (track) friends in Georgia and Florida that meet us there. Never fear going alone, everyone will be a friend by the second day. As I said, we don't do much else but track for holidays...
Yes, we trailer down. This IS our vacation. Instead of wasting two weeks at some overpriced resort with a bunch of lazy ***** who don't want to do anything interesting we split the time up and do track days instead. We will never be fast, we are too old, but we do have a lot of fun! We only hope...
