What is the point of recommending oil when there's purpose-made chain lubes that aren't going to fling and are going to repel dirt? If you're using regular oil you're going to be spending a lot more time keeping things clean.
Dupont Teflon Chain Saver. Lowe's is the only place that stocks it. Has a motorcycle on the can. Self cleans. There's no reason to talk about anything else, just use this.
Do not pressure wash an o-ring chain. I'm sure you're going to say "well mine's fine"
Air Canada is doing their special motorcycle shipping promo again this year, runs May 1 to Sept 30, lots of details here: https://canadamotoguide.com/2017/04/27/update-air-canada-motorcycle-cargo-rates/
Yes, massive rip off. Front/rear Dunlop Q3 should run you around $300 for the tires, less than $100 for install. You only blew one though, just replace the damaged one unless you're switching types (front/rear should match, ideally)

Otherwise...

Give me a break, a "proper" safety might tell you to do things like change your exhaust back to stock, change aftermarket turn signals back to stock, put the original fender back on, etc.
They have this at this weekend's show and I gotta say sitting on it the most immediately surprising thing was that it seemed very comfortable. They're also taking signups for test rides this summer of all the new stuff
