well wouldn't varying widths of the channels also affect it? It comes to tire design right? Whichever channels have the largest volume, plus whichever rubber operates the best.
So a friend crashed a bike going 50 kph after hitting a deer. I was going to check out the bike to see if it's just cosmetic and then get an inspection for the frame. It's an 07 ninja 650 and he's selling for 1500 OBO (I'm thinking 1200)
I am going to use this...
I doubt that paint contamination made it worse. We weld aircraft without scraping off the paint and it's fine for hundred of thousands of cycles, we just monitor it. Worst case is it isn't as good as it could have been. If it were me I'd stop drill the crack like someone suggested before even...
While the aviation community is safer and upgrades and currencies and check rides are common could you see the infrastructure that would take for bikes? getting your 6 month check ride, 20 hours - check ride, don't fly for 30 days - check ride, so on so forth. So yeah, it'd be expensive. I...
WRT the liquid cooling, I've been in Chicago in rush hour traffic, essentially walked my bike through the loop for 2 hours in 30C heat and the bike didn't overheat, so It's not that bike of a deal IMHO
I wish we could have taken the bikes even for a lap on city streets. The first time I rode on city streets it was very different dealing with people who are just clueless about other bikes.
I guess it's probably an insurance issue but still...
In Kingston on a Friday night as the bars are emptying at princess and division bunch of girls walk into the street, I stop one of them comes up to me and says, "I may be drunk but I want to ride your bike home and then you, cool?"
The Ninja 500 has a bit more power than the GS, and by bit, I mean pretty negligible.
I rode a GS500F on a 8000km round trip last summer and put on 15 000km in my season and a half with it. Loved that bike. It's carbed, but so is the ninja. I did all the maintenance myself with no former...
not necessarily the most legal option, but using a 1L nalgene would alleviate the leaking problem, storage problem and explosive problem (if it was filled up)
If they were both V-Twins I wouldn't be asking, but since one's v-twin and one's paralell twin I did't know if there would be substantial differences between the two?
Best answer, I use a smallpack, the flap that goes over the top is great for keeping out water, and I've had zippered bags open on me a bunch of times due to the wind to the point where I now tie together the zip pulls if I'm using them. The straps keep everything in tight so it doesn't feel...
Assuming the same insurance between the two anyone have any idea about the difference in cost to own the two? Maintenance, parts, fuel consumption, depreciation over 2 years? I know edmonds has a tool like this for cars (True cost to own) but can't find anything for bikes
it goes 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 120 days, 150 days and 151+ days. I THINK it's 86% returned, then 68% returned, then 52% returned and don't remember after that but it goes down pretty quick and the last one was like 17% returned.
