I got a couple of keys cut for my 2001 CBR600 from Lowes & Home Depot for free. I got the blanks on ebay for a couple bucks.

I was quoted about $3600/year when I was 24 with a clean record. Waited until I was 25 before I got the bike and insurance was around $1300 with Statefarm

Seems like you have a clean record, I'm guessing about $50/month for the 250 atleast thats what I was quoted. Ended up getting a CBR600 for $112/month with Statefarm

I have a set of Dunlop Raodsmarts and I like them, was going to get the Q2's but heard the tread wears fairly quickly. I don't them too sticky since I don't take it to the track.

I tell all my friends who ask me, always check insurance before buying a bike, some of them even wanted to buy all the gear and helmet for the M2 course. Of course I advised them not to, lent them my jacket and gloves for the course, and none of them ended up buying a bike after getting their M2.

If basic coverage means liability only, then I don't think you're covered.

Agreed with previous posters, last time I received something by USPS, it was $5 brokerage fee plus HST.
