If what you're doing scares you and makes you feel you're not in control of your life, why are you doing it? Stay home, and drive a cage. We'll be fine without you, you're just asking to be a statistic.

Do you work for an insurance company? What is the point of going through insurance for $320? It makes no sense. Deductible is usually $500-$1000, so the guy who rear-ended him will be paying everything out of pocket anyway. Why make a claim? The only winner here is the insurance company who can...
Doubt they're worried about the police. What they're worried about most likely is a claim. $500 or $5000 doesn't matter, it's still a claim on their record for the next 10 years. No reason to go through insurance.
