What is your favourite 600?(including 636)

First of all, the f4i isn't the hardcore track version, it's slightly detuned, and second of all...he probably doesn't track it very fast, lol Again, you can share anecdotes, and I can give you what I think is probably the reason for them...but it doesn't change the fact that reliability is...

What is your favourite 600?(including 636)

Do you understand what we're actually debating here? Riding deftly is not the same thing as abusing the machine... Doing 30 laps at WSIR once a month where the bike sees 150mph once per lap could be construed as hard use for a 600, riding at slow speed on the street (no matter how well you're...

What is your favourite 600?(including 636)

that's cute, but your little meaningless anecdote doesn't counter common sense, nice try. are there a bunch of butthurt little ******* in here that think I'm dissing their 600s or something? I have two SS bikes, an 08 daytona 675 and an 03 cbr 600rr which is track only...they're wonderful...

What is your favourite 600?(including 636)

So an average speed of 116km/h (1050/9) on a machine capable of over 200km/h? yep definitely different definition lol I'm not saying 600s just blow up, but they don't last as long as lower revving lower horsepower machines...share all the anecdotes you want

Your definition of "riding the crap out of" may differ from mine ;)

What is your favourite 600?(including 636)

    1) 100,000km isn't 100,000mi 2) a B-series honda engine makes considerably less power per displacement and doesn't rev as high as a 600cc supersport bike What I said is true, and if you babied your 600s and got lots of life out of them, good for you, but your anecdote doesn't negate the truth

What is your favourite 600?(including 636)

Ok, I'll take the bait...because most people wouldn't be comfortable riding long distances with the ergonomics of a 600. I rode my 675 from LA to Vegas once because no other vehicles of mine were working...would I do it again? Maybe in the same situation, but I would prefer not to... Also high...

    What's more dangerous?

To people who tailgate you in bumper to bumper traffic...you can take advantage of your bike's superior acceleration to eventually correct their behavior Keeping an eye in your mirror to ensure they see you and are slowing down, let off the gas and slow them down by 20-30km/h, and then rocket...

What is your favourite 600?(including 636)

I like v-twins for the street, because they sound good even when you're going slow...an I4 or the 675 they sound boring and annoying at low speeds...so basically the whole time you're riding it's urging you to go fast and get in trouble. Everyone is different, but for me the twins keep me out...

Riding from LA to Ontario (leaving today)

2400 spread out over 5 days, and then did some visiting in Michigan before making my way up to KW. I did some half days - there were two days where I did almost 600 miles per day, the other days less than that.

What is your favourite 600?(including 636)

Daytona 675 all day :) CBR if we're only doing the I4s I listed my 675 for sale but I don't know if I will have the heart to let it go...even if it didn't handle well, the sound is intoxicating. I would not buy a 600 class bike for Ontario...there are no good canyons to ride in locally..and...

    What's more dangerous?

Truly I have ridden enough miles that I would be dead by now if my riding style and attitude was going to create problems for me. The harsh tone of my posts is to ensure the point is not lost in the translation and nicety that people sugar coat things with when addressing newer riders. The...

    What's more dangerous?

uh, yes? Ontario and BC both have extremely low speed limits that nobody obeys, thanks to ICBC in BC and the general insurance lobby in Ontario...this should not be news to you and shouldn't be surprising in the slightest. If someone is going crazy behind you, just move over and wave them by...

Riding from LA to Ontario (leaving today)

It's a nice day in KW, took the bag off and went for a ride Zdeno actually has reasonable prices for simple consumable stuff (chain maintenance, oil) - I was surprised...used to getting ripped off whenever I come back to Ontario. http://i.imgur.com/AecsNtg.jpg

    What's more dangerous?

Stop riding so slowly, or move right and let them pass. If cars are behind you getting frustrated you're going too slow and creating an unsafe situation for yourself by creating an aggravating situation for them. If you're scared to ride just a bit faster than traffic so you're not holding it...

    What's more dangerous?

No need for the bat, if you have good gloves you can just punch them off...but I advise against doing so unless the person really tried to block or hit you on purpose, and even then you better be good enough to get away with ease. I've taken off mirrors twice in the entire time I've been...

Riding from LA to Ontario (leaving today)

true story, but it's also way more boring :) I've done the trip 3 times in cars before, and the southern way is zzzzz

Riding from LA to Ontario (leaving today)

indeed! So the trip is basically finished; two major observations: - The farther east you go, the ******** drivers get (both ruder and less competent) - It's f***ing cold up here right now lol My stops and route: https://goo.gl/maps/IB5rp Some really really hilarious incidents with cagers...

    What's more dangerous?

nah my post was directed at the OP; if you read between the lines hes white knuckling it and should focus on improving so he isn't "startled" by other riders

Riding from LA to Ontario (leaving today)

It's a one way trip for the bike...leaving it here so I have something nice to ride whenever I visit, I'll be flying back.
