It's probably still fine, but not really ideal. A lot of improvement has happened in 8 years, and degradation happens even in storage, although a lot slower than while being used.

A Suzuki Boulevard? Lots on the used market and they're cheap. The c50 is 800cc but it only has 56hp. The C90 and M90 would be better options, they're cheap too. Then there's the M109 but I heard those handle like crap.

I'd guess a lot less than 400. I had a 2019 790 Adventure, it had a 20L tank and would do 450 kms. Got 60 mpg. Not sure how much more fuel hungry the 890 engine is, probably a little.

I've now done about 700 kms since I put in liquimoly 10w40 full synthetic, and it seems fine so far. Bike shifts identically to how it always has. Whatever issue the other guy had, it's probably unique to his bike.

Too much effort. First you have to print out their rebate form (who still even has a printer in 2023?) then you have to fill it out, buy an envelope to put it in, put a stamp on it (I don't even remember how to buy a stamp) then mail it. Way too much work for $40.

That's just your own speculation, based on your already biased assumptions. Do you have any sources to prove any of those claims?

The stats show older people have the most motorcycle fatalities. It surprised me too but those are the facts. The idea that it's young inexperienced hooligans doing most of the crashing is just a myth.

Not only that, but the same bike can have vastly different service intervals in different countries. My service manual recommends an oil change every 6000 kms, but people from Europe with the same bike (same make/model/year) say their manual says every 12,000 kms. Anyone know why this is?
