What did you do in your garage today..?

Graphics kit didn't come yet. Fortnine is using Purolator to ship during the CP strike. They split my order into 3... Apparently the purolator drivers don't know how to find my house... after multiple tries. Oh well, it looks good black. Not like I'm riding it anytime soon. Sent from my...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Man... spotless! New plastics are ordered, and a cheap graphics kit. I might take the exhaust off; a friend is going to help me heat it and pop the dents out under pressure. Head bearings got greased up a week ago. Linkage and swingarm bearings need to be cleaned and repacked. Sent from my...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Oil, stabilizer, batteries pulled in all but my wr250x and the husky300. Good chance a group of us are going to Virginia next week. Hatfield & McCoy's trails. Did the Creemore loop a week ago Saturday. Sloppy, cold, but fun. Dual sports really extend the riding season. Sent from my SM-G960W...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I'd say, just ride it. Skid plates are supposed to take a beating, and scratches add character. My 300 is held together with zip-ties. Pristine plastics tucked away in my closet, if and when it gets sold. Does a dirtbike ever really get winterized? Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Even if its a clean ownership, trying to hunt down a previous owner is a load of b.s. Who am I kidding. Someone will buy it, and ride it dirty... Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Saw that. 53,000 km seems high, but 42,000 km is the first scheduled valve check on a wr250r. If it was commuting km, then its better than low speed dual sport duty. Linkage, head, and swingarm bearings would need to be greased. Mine were all replaced long before that; but I treat mine like a...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Best bike for you is the one you already own. Its paid for! The grass isn't always greener. Eg. -A v-strom 650 is a boring utility tool. It works for some, but its not generally the bike you turn around to see one more time as you walk out of the garage. I think you'd get bored of that, as...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Honestly... there's no perfect bike. Are you happy with the power? Seating position? Weight? Comfort? Wind protection? Or lack there-of. I'd put a rack on the back, with a rotopax mount; incase you get range induced paranoia. Make it your own. Its always a compromise. Since you're not on the...

We're in a recession. Toys are the first to go. Not many with disposable income right now... for Ducati scramblers, or collectible mid 80's 2 stroke 500s. Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk

Man thats nice. Price is good too. Insurance is nearly 1.5-2x that of the 675r, but I'd be tempted. Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk

DR650 Repair Advice...or recommendation on mechanic close to Christie Pits in TO

Yep. + a cheap CT digital vernier gauge to check the thickness of the friction plates, and a .pdf manual. Great bike to learn on. Dead reliable. Basic bush-pig. Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk

DR650 Repair Advice...or recommendation on mechanic close to Christie Pits in TO

Pretty sure the front sprocket looks like this. Pretty fool-proof O.p., no time like the present to buy some tools and learn. Take the clutch cover off. Pull the bolts out of the pressure plate. Measure the discs. The clutch cable should have an adjustment at the clutch actuation arm, off...

Who practices their low speed skills?

Almost 2 spots. Against the steering lock? The only way you could do better, do like Gene did. Lean the bike in more than your body, twist your torso around more. Lock the throttle hand, and use the rear brake to tighten your line. I honestly don't think it gets much better on a "land barge"...
