Went out today to pick up the new top case, post office guys thought I was crazy walking in with a helmet and picking up a box 2x3 feet. Quick install, left them the boxes. Windy but better than nothing. Also added an adjustor to my screen. Front kinda looks hideous now but damn it helps a lot...
I take all my corners like a turtle, and don't touch my psi levels during winter. Feels fine. Also just came back from a ride Stouffville area, saw a few ??️? folks ?
Totally agree on being more careful during the winter. Bad enough with the temperature aspect, bike and body wise, but yes drivers don't expect us. Personally I tend to just ride to work and back (15km? One way) and on the days off maybe 30 45 mins joy ride. Sit in the slow lane and just ride...
Woops, got excited to clean and justwent ahead and sprayed a tiny bit directly onto the rim, nothing got to the tire and wiped off nicely with the blue auto cloth. ? Im not a leaner anyways, I like my 4pc chicken strips but ya nothing got to the tire ??thanks all
I don't have a beater bike but I'll take any riding day over nothing. Also gives me an excuse to wash some dust and salt off ?
btw anyone have advice for getting chain lube off the actual rim? Hot soapy water didn't do much last time.. And what is your weapon of choice? I've used a standard...
I've wanted a bike since I was 16, but with Asian parents that's not happening. When I finally decided to take the course (while I was under their roof), I almost got killed before I was even on the bike. Fast-forward to 26, girlfriend at the time whom I've been with for 7 years pushed me to get...
I'm in Richmond hill and have only gone a hand full of times to cycle world by Scarborough. Would love to get some good prices and experienced mechanic in the area too! All the work I do myself are very basic maintenance (limited tools and experience lol)
Just got back in from a quick half hr ride to test new boots and glove liner. Neither are motorcycle specific apparel. Held up pretty well at highway speeds. Only a few exits, but proven to be good enough to ride to work next couple days! ?
Glad you're doing what you love, on a machine you love. I think that's all that matters. Kinda true how there's a lot of close minded people, motorcyclists or not , makes me not wanna pursue the scooter life lol. Looking at some 400cc stuff that just seems so damn practical, good storage...
@Trials yup.. they claimed that lane position as left tire track is mandatory, whereas I felt being a bit slightly towards left tire/mid to block behind me was more important. But unfortunately not what they wanted to 'see'.
Glad it's over with and never again. In reality though, being fully...
The mto exit test was super strict with lane positions, even though at some parts I felt my experience says otherwise. Super wide lane on a two way, I was positioned maybe between left tire track and centre (my Lane could seriously fit 2 cars), but he claims I was too much in the 'middle' ...
Forecast says no precipitation. On my way to work saw some light flurry and freezing rain. Hope it doesn't last or stick, otherwise I'll be leaving the bike at work and busing my ass home ?
