Dropped my bike again, slow speed

Pops found a thin walled 10mm socket. I managed to pull it off. Only lost the bouncy spring for about 3 seconds. Luckily I saw where it landed.... *YIKES* Just need to order the lever now and I'll be able to get the job done. I will call Kahuna tomorrow, I hope I will be riding again soon...

TD Rewards GoPro 2 for $170

I wonder how many units they will have? I really hope I can win this. I entered to win NHL 13 earlier this month. I didn't win on the first day. I got an email a few days later saying I won. If someone wins, and they don't buy - then they redraw. Keep that in mind if you don't get the e-mail...

Dropped my bike again, slow speed

Thanks for those resources. I don't think I have a thinned walled socket... =( I checked the manual, but I was looking at it for the oil change information. The videos I watched on youtube for the clutch lever fix didn't mention a thin walled socket, only a 10mm.

I will go for one of these. I think they are an awesome little toy for your bike.

Dropped my bike again, slow speed

It works, but it is uncomfortable to hold in the clutch for an extended period of time. I have been trained under the school of thought to always have the bike in gear at red lights in case you need to move out of the way. so I hold in the clutch, and with the way that it is bent, it puts more...

Dropped my bike again, slow speed

lol, I think its just minerals from rain water that built up in there. I checked it while the bike was on a rear stand. The oil slightly above the max line, the bike was completely cold. Thanks for the guide. I hope I can get this done sometime this week. Can you suggest a place to buy...

Dropped my bike again, slow speed

Its like white crust. Its hard to get in there to clean it. I managed to get it off with a slightly bigger allen key. I took off one side of my plastics, and realized I need an oil change. Any recommendations for what oil I should buy? Brand and weight? I tried to take off the lever so I...

Dropped my bike again, slow speed

yeah, and its also something we learned and spent a lot of time doing in the course. I need to revisit those exercises and get better at it! The fitting for the allen key has dirt built up in it and when I try to insert the key, it doesn't grip. I am going to try again today and see if I...

Dropped my bike again, slow speed

Thanks for the links to the guides, very little leaked out. But I want to make sure the levels are okay. I will try to remove the fairings this weekend. What should I do if one of the bolts is stuck and I can't get the allen key in there?

Dropped my bike again, slow speed

Not at all. I posted my story for your support. I can handle the constructive criticism that you've provided for me. The first time I dropped my bike, it was in the driveway and I laid it down very gently when I was walking it out of the driveway. I think I am going to order frame sliders and...

Dropped my bike again, slow speed

I was trying to turn around on a side street, I had both feet on the pegs, I started off okay, but then I sensed I was heading for the curb, I grabbed front brake and down I went! Some green liquid, (engine coolant???) dripped out. The clutch lever looks like a curved banana. Small piece on the...

Is this mileage normal for a GS500F?

    Only recorded two tanks on my Ninja 650R, but here they are: 288.6km on 10.91l = 3.78l / 100km or 26kms per litre 272.0km on 10.83l = 3.98l / 100km or 25kms per litre
