    Riding Mexico

I think Mexico's a great place. It's the Mexicans I don't like. Get rid if them and I'd he happy to ride there.

how many people wear back protectors?

My jackets all have the armor inserts, but The back protectors are pretty basic rubber inserts. I can't see them doing very much to help in a crash. I'd be interested in hearing what people think about premium protect for street bikes.

    Poll: Noise restrictions bylaw

Lol! I agree the kids with the modified exhaust on the civics are the worst. They think they're cool but they've never seen a big block V8.

    Riding New years day

Wow, I had thought about storing it in the house but I don't have much room and I would need a ramp to get it up the steps. Living room? That would make a statement I'm hoping for less than three months if we can ride January 1 maybe we will be riding again March 1.

    Final Thoughts Of 2011

I took lessons in April and got my license after breaking my shoulder on my first attempt in September 2010. It went much better in 2011 and I bought my own bike in May. I started riding it every chance I got and put about 5300 km on it by the time I finally put it into storage earlier today...

    Riding New years day

I've been holding off on putting my bike into storage because we've had such a mild winter so far. I don't have a garage or shed to store it in so I haveto store it away from home. I toolk it for a ride yesterday to warm it up to change the oil, but I had so much fun I decided to wait. Looking...

Motorcycle Parking Fees Recommended without Notice or Public Consultation

Re: Motorcycle Parking in Toronto The only fair way to charge motorcyclist for street parking is to put a transponder or RFID on the bike, perhaps as part of the license plate. The city could then charge per hour at a reduced rate and with less risk of the tag being stolen. unless they're...

Motorcycle Parking Fees Recommended without Notice or Public Consultation

Re: City council voting on getting rid of free parking for motorcycles today Everyone keep writing their councillors and copy Rob Ford (mayor_ford@toronto.ca). Here's what I've sent to my councillor and the mayor: I was surprised to hear that this issue is being revisited as a means of earning...

Went down yesterday on Southdawn Rd :(

it can happen pretty easily. When I first took the safety course last year I locked the front wheel and hit down hard on my shoulder breaking it in four places. I was wearing a textile jacket with armor and it didn't help. I spent the winter in physiotherapy and retook the course in April. It...

DVP Southbound at York Mills ramp

Could there have been two accidents at the same location! The bike I saw sure didn't look like a Harley to me (although i was at a distance in the northbound lanes) and I saw it at noon. It should have been long gone by the afternoon rush hour. Either way this hasn't been in the news so it's...

DVP Southbound at York Mills ramp

I was riding northbound at about 12 today and the traffic was backed up approaching York Mills. There were fire trucks and police in the southbound lanes and a tow truck hoisting a white sports bike with a crane at the beginning of the off ramp. I didn't get a good enough look to pick out the...

    Stunting on an e-bike?

I can't see stunting on a scooter style bike, but maybe you could do some tricks with the power assist on a bicycle style ebike. In the end it will probably only give ebikes more of a bad name. Then what will you ride when your motorcycle license is suspended?
