May be I wasn't on point when I rode the 765.. but god.. when it was on Race mode... (or whatever) the thing flies on the seat of my pants... Road mode is a bit more tamed...
I think on paper XSR900 has more torque.. on my demo ride... I didn't feel the XSR900 was torquey... I actually found the 765 to have more torque...
HP.. again.. on paper I think they are in the same class.. not miles apart... so not much "value" imo... difference of 1-2 Hp between the two?

Yeah. I looked deeper into what the XSR offer. And frankly I was impressed with how easily approachable it is. Unrefined throttle response, like me, is not going to throw you off the bike. The 765 is jumpy in comparison, but...

The problem I have with the Yama is the fact that you are paying similar money for generic brakes and suspension.
Triple you get Showa front and back with Brembos front and back.
