Pole position won Sykes that race. He has never been strong at fighting through a pack. By the time Rea and VdM got clear they were 4-5 seconds back. Sykes could just cruise and maintain the gap. I think Rea could have tried to catch him but no point as he is already way behind Rea in the points.
Rea seems to be making way more mistakes than I ever remember from the past 3 seasons. Multiple times per race he seems to run off line or outbrake himself. The Kawi seems to have really taken a performance hit and he is pushing his nuts off to stay at the sharp end.
Ducati had been proven to be competitive again. They paid him an *** ton of money. He was always in Rossi's shadow at Yamaha, even when he was champion.

I don't think they had much choice. The whole field starting from pit lane would have been an even bigger gong show.
Miller made the right call and still ended up with a big advantage off the start. Can't make everyone happy but it was a good compromise for safety while still rewarding Miller...
Rossi certainly did sound like he was playing it up in the hopes of getting MM the harshest penalty possible.
Gotta say I am not a Crashlow fan, and I dont always agree with what he says, but I do admire that he speaks his mind straight up and doesn't sugar coat anything.
It doesn't appear they actually made any contact. Zarco snuck in there with a nice block pass and caught Dani off guard, standing him up, riding onto the wet patch where he gassed it up and highsided. Zarco still made the corner on the racing line. It was a hard move but I don't think it's...
