I don't want to steer the conversation to another topic besides the meetings, but I can confirm that the man, the myth, the legend, Rosie, lives up to its reputation. The fastest safety check in the "west".
He was kind enough to tell me not to store the bike in an underground parking.
🤔 I don't know why I'm getting the slight suspicion that mirrors are not required. Anyhow the hardware arrived, however both mirrors are for the left side so I will be rocking this vibe🕺. I'm in.
Of course, amigo.
But I'm conditioned by getting the mirror parts today. The previous owner gave me some bar-end mirrors but not the hardware to install them.
If I don't make it this week, I'll go to the next one, as I'm in between CPA courses.
At the beginning of the year, I set a goal to do some low-speed exercises. So far, I've done zero. Life has gotten in the way.
Nevertheless, I hope to have much more free time next year. For now, I've got some nice tips from this post.
Thank you all so much for the pieces of advice. The seller arranged to tow the bike to my place for free, which was a huge help.
Now, I need to do all the SO stuff (registration, safety certificate, etc). After that, I'll be on the hunt for some affordable winter storage since my landlord is...
Thank you so much, I genuinely appreciate it. I'll take care of the final details (maintenance and service records) and will reach out to you if I need any assistance
UVIP says brand: NONE. So, I guess I'm good.
So, bringing back from the dead an old post.
I'm most likely going to purchase a second bike this weekend. It will be my first time buying from a private seller. I purchased my Tiger from GP because I find it confusing how things work in a private sale. However, reading this post helped me...
There are some older Multis 1200 for similar prices as your bike. Last year I briefly rode one and sort of fell in love with the comfort. It felt so roomy compared to my motorcycle.
No, it is not. Sorry for creating a confusion. I tried to give you a reference point for how much a bike like yours with ~2k kms sold for a few months ago.
FWIW. Back in May I went to see this scrambler. It was in pristine condition. I offered $6.5k because I was not 100% sure I wanted a scrambler, but for the price, it wasn't a bad option for when my dad visits. The seller told me it's yours if the next guy doesn't offer full price. The next guy...
I installed the double H front brake pads on my f800r and I liked their feel.
Just changed the rear pads on my Tiger and decided to go with EBC organic. I haven't noticed a difference from OEM pads.
I have a similar point of view/experience as you. I come from Mexico (specifically México City, so most likely the the worst drivers in MX). I feel more in danger driving my motorcycle here than down there.
Thanks for all the knowdelge shared here.
I've been thinking on doing something similar on my bike. I already have the distribution block, the relay and fuses. I keep delaying it because I'm also a complete noob at wiring, thus I'm scared of tapping a cable and something suddenly goes kaput.
