Signs that he doesn't have a photographic memory. He has 8500km in the listing. Could be 8953 or could be 8326.
Even if he updated the 8500, some people just don't mentally log their KM's every day or maybe hasn't looked at it over the winter.
No biggie. I'd check it out if I was looking for...
Agreed. Just looked at the advert and photos aren't the greatest. Give it a bath and take it out on to the street. Borrow someone else's phone/camera if that's all you're working with. Photograph everything and add more photos in a Dropbox folder. That way you can use more photos than the few...
Yes, insurance company owns it. The Ninja 500 I mentioned in the post above was recovered about 10 weeks after the 3rd theft. Insurance companies wait 30 days before paying out on thefts because the vehicles often turn up. Inside 30 days, they assess damage and if it's repairable similar to a...
People steal anything that's an easy grab.
I had a Ninja 500 stolen 3 times. Was the SAME BIKE in different places. First two times I got it back the next day....with smashed ignition/cut wires and **** I had to repair out of pocket. Wasn't worth the insurance claim.
I'm not sure what's in the contract but if it says you can back out of the sale with or with out penalty, then there's nothing wrong with doing so, as long as you're aware there might be financial penalties (if that's part of the agreement).

No one with any sense is paying $4000 for a 2015 cbr300 unless it's brand new.

The fastest one sells the fastest!
It's all relative. I'd be inclined to say the 300cc-ish bike because there is a bigger market for them. But if you've banged it up or asking any more than $3500, then there's going to be dozens of other options for a potential buyer.
If you have a nice...
It'd still have to be a highly controlled slow train around the track or you'd have events like this becoming common: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJENAP9MJrI
But yeah, if I was interested in a supersport, I'd pay a few beans to try it out on a track even at a slower pace.
