Performance/RPM thing is a bit dumb. It's not a spec class and restrictions are already in place.
I see nothing wrong with making component available though.
For a bike, I figure it'd get stolen, sold off or damaged from something non-warranty related before paying for extra warranty is worth it. Also depends on how much and what is covered.
Last time I bought eye glasses, they had a "crush" warranty. There was value in it but I declined since I...
Thanks! I think i'll just wait until the parks open in the spring if I can't get on the ice again this winter. Looks like stuff will start melting soon.
I'll be away this weekend otherwise I'd check that event out.
Where do they actually ride on that property? From photos of previous years, it...
613 Motorsports just posted on FB that they're having some exhaust clearout sales. I get my race stuff from them. They will ship if you're not close to their shop.

I looked on here and none of the trails I was referring to are listed. Are these the only snow mobile trails you can get fines on?

Okay, maybe "snowmobile trail" isn't the right word for what is near my house. More of random dirt trails and not actual snowmobile trails.
That was the answer I was looking for.
So it'll be a pass for me.
And they work!!
I slid in to one on turn 1 at Shannonville. No injuries, thanks to the bags. If i was about 10-15 feet further to the right, it would have been a much different outcome.
How much do the bags cost to make?
So this ice thing is new to me. I've been out 3-4 times this season on a frozen pond in a variety of conditions.
Was wondering if the cold cutter George Jones tires are suitable on snowmobile trails? Will that damage the tires/spikes? Or should just regular dirt tires be used instead?
No one thinks I was verbatim quoting you, so you don't have to worry. Your original comment is directly above.
If it works for you, awesome. I just don't see the logic.
If the sock has enough fluid on it to notice a leak, there is probably issue of air and hydraulic pressure and your brakes...
I guess you're new to the interwebs.
What I was saying, without saying it, is that the lesson you should have learned from your story was to fix leaks and not a bandaid sock.
They are advertised as only pre-WW2 motorcycles on track. ...or some other date in the 90s. I've only ever seen them at Cayuga, outside of the obvious VRRA race weekends.
Those rubber boots would probably do the trick for warmth (with extra socks) and obviously keeping dry. But if you go down, your ankles and everything other than your toes might take a good hit.
I'm not sure but my feet were only cold when I was standing still for longer than 5-10 mins. As soon as I got on the bike, they would warm up.
It's more of the wet/snow that is the problem. Warm feet with snow turn wet. Hot engine with ice chips and snow going near it turn wet. The plastic...
I find that hard to believe that a new paint job didn't fix it.
It must have been sitting there for way way too long. I have spilled brake fluid on paint more times than i'd like to admit but have never seen any damage. Perhaps because it's wiped up quickly?
Agreed.
The amount the seeps from the Master Cylinder is never enough to really splatter everywhere. If it is in a volume that is spattering everywhere on to paint, then you have way bigger issues than brake fluid messing up your paint.
