    First dirt bike

I'm starting to get tired of it. I camp at sandaraska so I have hundreds of hours in there. Doing a few races in the US and riding Simcoe more to try and break it up a bit.

I don't even like riding the same section of singletrack twice in the same day. Hahaha

Saw your vid a while back. It's what actually alerted me to its existence. Lol Looks like fun. Hopefully it dries up a bit more though.

Speaking of burnt river. I heard there is an endurocross area there. Any idea what the track is like?

Yep, whatever anyone likes is cool. Just used as an example as why trials and mx isn't for everyone. I don't put anyone down for their choice of sport. I like to hit Chesterman in the winter on occasion just to get a ride in. But going round and round isn't my thing usually.

    First dirt bike

Yeah, yeah, we get it. Nobody can ride unless they ride trials. To be honest. I think trials is frigging boring. (My opinion) A bunch of guys standing around taking turns on a rock/hill/course, etc. Ummm, no. Same reason I never bothered with mx. A whole day spent at the track just to race a...

Fans can't keep up when you get into the low speed stuff on a big bore 4t. Mud, rocks, hard climbs, etc.... Not talking trials here. Woods bikes are meant to be moving Passed many overheated 4 strokes on the cord when I rode it a few years back. My 2t didn't even need a fan.

2 stokes are easier and cheaper to maintain than 4 strokes. They are also more reliable and less prone to overheating. (speaking of competition based engines of course)

    KTM 790 Adventure R

I don't think I'll be trading my 690 in for the 790 though. Looks too street oriented. And that headlight is hideous IMHO.

Tire choice for Simcoe/Ganny trail riding

Tires make a huge difference. Especially the front. In the terrain here I like softs. Seems to be either mud or sand around here. Anything will be fine for hard pack. That's why I ripped the Motoz front off after 1 ride. The front was sliding sideways in the corners at the ganny. If you want to...

Tire choice for Simcoe/Ganny trail riding

No, one of the mx tires. I have a scorpion mid soft on the front of mine right now that is DOT. Seemed to grip really well in the wet leaves at the ganny Saturday.
