Is your helmet MIPS? and also SNELL 2015?
I'm curios because I'm shopping for a new helmet as well and noticed that the Star is cheaper on GP compare to RD or Fortnine but it doesn't say MIPS nor SNELL 2015.
I'm wondering if MIPS makes a big difference.
Thanks everyone,
yes I did do Racer5 and know I need a race license if I want to race. I just wanted to make sure I don't need to have an M since I'm not sure I want to get one.
Cheers
I'm planning on doing track days and possibly racing this year but I only have an Ontario G license.
I want to make sure I won't need an M license to do any of these.
Is there any track or racing organization that requires an M?
Thanks
I did the Racer5 Intro Course twice, few years ago and again last year and loved it both times. It's impressive how much you can learn on these 125cc.
I agree with smergy. Also it's important that you listen to their advice, for instance if you feel fatigued it's ok to skip a session. When...
Before doing the endurance race I did the intro course with Racer5 and that entitles me to have a racing license, I just need to apply for one.
I'm looking at the racing fees, it seems like they are not more expensive than a track day. If I read it correctly for CSBK lightweight it's about $250...
I'd like to keep the cost of the bike to max $4000/$4500 including necessary aftermarket components.
Good to know that frame sliders are not necessary so I'll save these money and invest them in a better body work instead ;)
I never seriously thought about racing just because I assumed it's...
@boyoboy I'm not planning on racing for now. Let's see how my first year of track days goes first LOL
@STR I guess it really depend how much you want to change the bike from stock. Or maybe there is something I'm not considering?
@Owen I don't have a street bike nor am planning on using the bike on the street. For now I'll probably be able to do 5 or 6 TD during the year and at my level I don't really need anything more powerful than a stock 300.
If I buy a street one the only things I'm planning on doing is changing...
Thanks for all your replies guys, plenty of great suggestions!
After talking to some people and looking at availability of used N300 I'm more inclined to buy a street bike and take it to track.
I just feel more comfortable with a bike that has probably not been crashed hard and it's easier for...
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a track bike and found some interesting ones. I'm specifically looking at Ninja300s.
I'm considering either buying a race/track ready bike or a used street bike.
In case I go for the race bike what I should look for? They should still have a VIN even if don't have a...
Hi all,
I'm attending either June 17 or 18 track day at Mosport organized by Racer5.
I live in Toronto downtown and am looking to carpool/split car rental or gas costs with someone else.
