Ride ended up being solo but it was great. Experimented with body positioning and practiced cornering techniques. Weather was fantastic.. Lake was still frozen so it was quite a bit colder around the lake. Next weekend looks good so im hoping to do a similar ride saturday. We could meet at the...
Ended up riding solo yesterday bit was a great ride. Feeling better and better on the bike.. Around 450km on the bike so far.

Im not far away either. Subscribe to my stouffville thread and hopefully we will get a ride going soon. I had a sweet ride up to jacksons point yesterday (althpugh the wind off the lake was brisk).
Thanks. If you ever want to go for a ride id love some tips. Im headed out with my brother in law tomorrow now so all good. Have a good weekend everyone.
Considering an early morning ride up to jacksons point from Stouffville saturday. Not looking for a race oriented ride but hope to have a fun outting. Let me know.. Good chance to get to know one another. Any places for coffee up that way?
8:30-9am departure and back by lunch.
Weather is looking good for next saturday. Contemplating a ride up to jacksons point. Let me know if interested.
Likely 8:30-9 departure back by lunch.
Fair enough i think we've established my intro could have been better phrased. Looks like i have some solid guys who are interested in riding.. Looking forward to meeting those of you this summer.
Awesome responses.. I appreciate them all. I can see where I have given the wrong impression. I took the MSC last summer at Durham and truly enjoyed it. I'm definitely looking for experienced riders to give me tips etc and will not show up for a group ride until I'm certain I'm ready. My...
Ok great. Ill send you a PM with my cell phone. Give me a text in advance of a ride if possible and id love to come out.
For me bikes (whether they be human powered or mechanically powered) are social devices. Ive trained solo enough in my life on two wheels..
Thx for all the replies
Thanks for the advice. I am actually not looking for a large group ride. Maybe 1 to 3 guys who want to get to know another and develop the trust you speak of.
Thanks again for the advice.
For clarity im not looking for a ride up the 400 darting inbetween cars and generally riding on the edge. Im more looking for a ride up to twisty quiet country roads and really learning how the bike handles at moderate speeds and good following distance.
