Well, it did work for them in some respects... I have never even looked at their website before... Now it's another place to comparison shop, and now that I am on their email list I get their offers for more discount specials (15% - 20%)... They may get further business from me in the future...
The responses I got from the Motorcycle dealers usually came within one or two days, from the auto dealers it was the same day, with many repeated attempts to contact me afterwards (very pushy compared to the bike dealers...)
Glad to hear that at least one responded, surprised the other hasn't...
In my recent experience, I did get replies from Motorcycle dealers via internet forms, although no where near as quickly as auto dealers... Perhaps this stems from most Motorcycle sales not being regarded as a primary form of transportation, viewed more from a hobby/leisure/pastime perspective...
Was away on business for 2 weeks, but was pleasantly surprised this morning to see that my Joe Rocket V-Sport leather jacket and Cardo Scala G9 set had arrived, just as ordered!
Fairly new to this forum, but would love to join when it starts getting warmer... going away on business for 2 weeks but will check back upon my return...
I'll be parking my bike once in a while in our condo garage (keep it at work right now). I'm still looking for a chain/cable, but I have ordered this lock, as it has an alarm and a pager: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251247507126?item=251247507126&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:L:OU:CA:3160&vxp=mtr
You are supposed to supply the UVIP, not necessary to provide safety, but it usually helps sell if you do. If you do not provide safety, then make sure the bill of sale you write up says "as is".
Taxes are collected at the MTO office when ownership is changed over. You keep plates and plate...
Back in 2009 in Germany, I rented it's smaller brother, a 950cc V-Star for a couple days. It was very comfortable, handled decent, but lacked a bit of power. With a lot more cc's, the Stryker would be a nice ride.
Rented an FZ6 in Germany back in 2006, I'm not a small guy (240lbs back then) and it had plenty of torque for me.
Having said that, just bought a new 2011 Fazer 8, great bang for the buck..
Re: Day 10: Calais, France to Bournemouth, UK
Thanks for the write up, looked like an awesome trip. I've driven thru the Black Forest area (alas, it was in a car) about 7 years ago and it looked fantastic for riding, there were tons of bikes there. I am also fortunate to go to Germany (Bavaria)...
