    **** YOU MT-pleasant......

Re: FUC* YOU MT-pleasant...... Sorry, but reading the signs doesn't help. Did you know that in North York you are not allowed to park on ANY streets between 2am and 6am during the winter months? http://www.toronto.ca/transportation/parking/regulations.htm#sig Look at Offence #28. Now tell...

    Helmet Demo

I don't know about your Scorpion 400, but my Shoei RF1100 has TWO golden dragons on it. It's common knowledge that every regular dragon adds at least 50hp at the rear wheel and 62 degree lean in turns. So it's safe to say with my 2 golden dragons I will be invincible. :D Seriously though, when...

    Helmet Demo

I recently bought a Shoei RF1100 and before that I had a TZR for 5 years that I put 30k km on. But I also wore an HJC, AFX, Shark and Arai for some time, and I tried every single helmet that I could find on display in Toronto. The bottom line, for my shape of head, the Shoei wins hands down. The...

Anyone use or tried on this helmet?

Lol, I wonder why we even bother sometimes. :D Fashion wins over safety every time. But seriously guys, there really is a reason why they replaced leather caps with hard shell helmets and open face helmets with full face helmets in every race setting. I'd love to ride and have a smoke sometimes...

    Recommend suzuki dealer

Hillcrest Suzuki is pretty good. That's where I got my gsxr, and while the bike had problems from the factory, they fixed them quickly. Keith is a good mechanic, but can be a bit moody at times. That said, unless the bike is under warranty, just take it to Z1 or Rider's Choice.

State Farm, Can it really be this cheap? Or are they going to screw me over later?

Well, I can tell you for sure that SF calculates monthly insurance premiums along a bell curve. Fictitious example, but if your rates are $100/month throughout the year, in their book June, July and August cost $200/month while December, January and February cost $0/month. My broker went out of...

is it really that bad to wear a helmet slightly larger than your normal size?

Go to the store and put the helmet on. Wear it for 10 minutes. If within that time you get a headache (and if the helmet is too tight or has weird pressure spots you WILL get a headache), then move one size up. Also grab the chin guard and see how far you can turn the helmet around. If the...

Cagers sneaking in on the right? Anyone else see this?

Sure man, do what you need to do if it makes you feel better. Because when it comes down to it, if a car wants your space, they'll take it no matter what, and the driver will just claim they didn't see you.

SUZUKI 600 cc (what is wrong with them)

The first engine was literally leaking oil THROUGH the crank case. Casting defect led to a pinhole where the oil was seeping right in the middle of the aluminium slab under the throttle body. The second engine was brand new crate engine, but the valve cover had an inch long crack in a corner. It...

Cagers sneaking in on the right? Anyone else see this?

You're on a motorcycle, and even a CBR125 will accelerate faster than 95% of the cars on the road. If someone pulls along you and tries to pass you in your own lane, just crank open the throttle and you'll be out of there well ahead of him. Then you can ride in all the blocking positions you...

    Z1 Cycle-tech - what are your experiences.???

Except warranty work, Zeno worked on every single bike I've owned. Fair prices, great workmanship, I absolutely recommend him. And if you treat him right, he doesn't forget it.

SUZUKI 600 cc (what is wrong with them)

I hope you're right about the maintainence part, because so far my brand new GSXR600 has been a PITA. I'm on the second engine and third valve cover. :D Original engine had a hole in the crank case, and the second engine had a cracked valve cover. Both repaired under warranty, but so far my bike...

Tank scratches with belt clamp on a brand new bike - body shop recommendation?

That's the first thing I did on my (then) brand new 2005 SV650s. After the tank guard I never saw the scratch again.

    A few new rider questions...

Definitely stick with 87 octane. Increasing the octane only decreases the chances of engine knock caused by the A/F mixture igniting before the spark in high compression engines. I am certain your bike was not designed to run on 91 octane, so using it will not make it run smoother, will not give...

Cagers sneaking in on the right? Anyone else see this?

Sharing the road courteously improves traffic flow and increases safety. Unless a car passes me within half a meter, I have no problems letting them squeeze by especially at a stop sign or red light if they go in a different direction. When I was back in Eastern Europe I saw something AMAZING...

Anyone use or tried on this helmet?

I wouldn't want to wear an open face helmet in any circumstances. I happen to believe that every part of my head deserves equal protection, including my chin. But to each his own.

moral question: when is it ok to cross double yellow?

Funny how the first instinct of most people is to just assume a behaviour they do not approve is also illegal. In the case of ducati rider though, he's just being a tool. On the street, if you need to cross the line in a turn, you're either going too fast for the road conditions (wet, sand...

    damn we need lane splitting

So ultimately you're tying your entire argument against flitering to rider skill. I really tried picturing how flitering would require any special skill on the side of the rider. You need to look out for cars, cyclists and pedestrians, you need to ride in a straight line and keep within a...
