I have a 99 skirtster, A friend and i installed a 1200 jugs and piston in about 8 hrs. Bought the kit at JP cycles, and final hone only needed. New gaskets and jets. The timing is a pain, plan on changing that too. I found the bike to run & ride smoother and way more torque to play with.

It would depend on the make of bike you are changing the bars on. Burly makes kits for harley that supply longer cables, throttle-clutch-brake and wire for the turn-start-high beam switches. Cables have fixed ends so shorting them not a good idea. I have changed my 5" risers drag bars to 12"...

Im still down here in Tampa, and the people at every bike shop/stop are super nice. Was up in Daytona 2 weeks ago and it was busy enough for me.Great side roads tree lined and some twists. Heading home at the end of the month going to miss the cheap beer at the gas stations and BBQ turkey legs...
