Triumph Bonneville - Where to not get ripped off?

There are a lot of factors that could have increased the price. You could have been paying rates that were filed last year. This years rates could have risen. The newer bike could be worth more which means the rates could increase.

    Insurance with no driving record

OP... A broker will be your best bet as they will shop it around to multiple insurers. There are likely very little to none that will account for your insurance history in Australia. Some will except US exprience. You may have a higher rate for about a year while you establish insurance...

Does car insurance history affect motorcycle insurance rates?

Moto.... I am a broker and have access to their rating manuels which states that they only rate for claims involving a motorcycle. Jevco may not provide a good rate for you as a driver but that doesn't mean they won't for another driver. As for noobie48, all insurance companies must disclose...

Does car insurance history affect motorcycle insurance rates?

Sorry Moto but that is not correct. As I stated before there are companies such as Jevco that will only rate accidents with a motorcycle. As well there are also some companies that will not rate for an accident that occurs while driving a work vehicle. Tickets will follow you regardless.

Insurance questions I'm tossing around my brain

It's not about a debate of old vs new. The Cavalier and the new Focus you purchased have very high rates with regards to the Accident Benefits rating. Meaning that when they are involved in a claim they have a higher rate of injury then most cars. Take a look at the breakdown of premium on...

    18 yo/ 1982 Honda Ft500 Ascot. No insurance less than 4500! WTF?

Best advice is to get your M2 wait until next year. After having 1 year with your M2 you would qualify for Jevco.

Insurance Quote on GS 500F mayhem

Only Jevco changed their rates on May 1st this year. $3620 is a lot of money, but you are young newly licenced driver. Your rates with Jevco will drop by almost 50% once you have held your licence for 1 year. It's also not cheaper to ride "dirty" as the fine is almost $6000 for first offense...

Insurance Questions Answered: A Claim Adjuster's Perspective

Roger, I would call over 15 companies competition and I would definitely call it more competition than 1 government insurer. But why are you complaining about competition if you want government insurance? Also an insurance company does not have to be popular to provide insurance. I previously...

Insurance Questions Answered: A Claim Adjuster's Perspective

That sounds like competition to me. How about we throw, Wawanesa, Aviva, Pembridge, TD etc. There is competition out there. This is confusing to me because competition can't be that important to you if you want government insurance as there would then be no competition. If people only paid...

Insurance Questions Answered: A Claim Adjuster's Perspective

Roger you didn't answer my question. How much different would the rates be? Also since when did government insurance not increase. Do you think the rates stay the same or drop every year in BC/MB/SK? Great point turbodish. Roger, not everyone's rates go up every year and if they do go up...

    Insurance prices.

This was thought to be a change but it is not the case. You only need to hold your licence for a year.

    Insurance prices.

With Jevco, once you have 1 year under your belt the decrease is pretty significant.
