For that price, grab em! My only complaint with them was lack of ventilation. I was going to drill them out but never got around to it. I can’t comment on safety because I didn’t really crash in them. They offer good grip on the pegs but wear a bit quicker than my a* supertech r’s did.
This is my first year that I really don’t have any bodywork to repair. I’ve got a small 2” crack on my upper from St. Eustache but I can live with that...just. Everything else on that list is my regular maintenance. Did it all before the season even though the bike had 800km on it, it’ll get it...
I try to ride as close to the powerband as possible or a quick clutch tap away from it. Obviously it doesn’t always work that way depending on traction or how technical the hill is. I previously had a 1 tooth taller front that worked pretty well. 1st was just a bit taller and good for when the...
I rode my buddies 2015 250sx, didn’t like it. Good MX bike but not in the woods. Power was all up top and just doesn’t work for single track. My 04 RM250 is all midrange, you can lug it around no problem and it works quite well. Up top it falls flat but I’m fine with that, I just keep it a bit...
They are fun, for a few minutes. I really don’t get the same feeling of being attached to a 4 wheeler or sled like I do a bike. They just don’t become part of you like a bike.
Ganny’s tough, it depends on what you ride on and where. The single track is usually soft/int but then there’s some rocky sections. Fire roads are sand/rock with a few dirt/hardback sections. I’d suggest a soft/int tire but don’t cheap out, the good ones aren’t much more money. I’ve got kenda’s...
Those are the sled signs, according to the Ganaraska website it’s 40km/h for other motorized vehicles. I guess my 5th gear wheelies are around 30-35/h :)
Sorry, the lazy scenic ride is what I picked up as touring. I’d have no idea if I was speeding, no spedometer. Never seen seen anyone enforcing the speed limit either, maybe one day, been over 20 years now so...
You can lazily ride a 2s, it just needs to have a big enough displacement. Trying...
