I assumed that becasue the prosecutor had already planned to offer me a 49 over ticket instead. he said it would be hard to convict someone of stunt driving, an so he made it seem as if its a regular thing to do..reducing the ticket to 49 over.

it worked for me...

go to your initial hearing and ask for it to be dropped to a 49 over ticket, they'll always agree.

I would try and get a bill of sale or something to prove you paid for it as soon as possible. The same thing happened to me, it turned out to be stolen and caused a lot of trouble. Do you ride in hamilton? I know a few trails that you wouldn't need a licence.

they're not exactly "legal" trails,, it involves some riding down the rail trail, then through the red hill creek.
