Guy Martin proves he is indeed "hard as a coffin nail."

For any TT fans out there. Guy Martin breaks 5 vertebrae, gets a rod in his spine, a plate in his hand and is back wrenching big rigs...what? A week or so later...? He is indeed born again hard and puts many of the rest of our species to shame. Best wishes Guy! Fast horses to higher ground...

So I Had The Motorcycle Road Trip Of My Dreams !! (Outside Of North America)

Cool trip. Thanks for sharing. You posting this on ADV Rider as well? Think you'll find a much bigger audience for it there. You mentioned you stayed in local homes instead of hotels. Why was that a safer option and how did you find out about who had rooms available? Guessing it wasn't airbnb. ..

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Guy on the red Grom tonight at Cherry Beach tonight. Full racing leathers, Dainese boots and pro replica helmet. Dude, you're absolutely killing it! ;) Way to rock the atgatt. Did we meet at the Honda event while you were eating lunch? What was going on at CB tonight? A bunch of bikes in the...

Motorcycle gear - Who wears all black?

Another vote for all black, but only because I've found lighter coloured gear to get filthy and after awhile the oil, road grime, sweat etc become impossible to wash out and I end up looking like a hobo. Highly tempted to get a white Harley and gold helmet for my next purchases as maybe...

What bike do you want today?

Thought the FJ-09 was the cat`s ***** until I saw the S100XR. Now I am one smitten kitten. Just completely lose my shibbit whenever I look at this bike...and I cannot stop looking at it...

    Buying Selling on Kijiji woes

Met some great people and made some good buys and sales on Kijiji, but like any other public forum, it`s like a big bowl of granola - what ain`t fruits or nuts is flakes... Most dodgy experience I had with Kijiji was looking at an FZ-1 a few years ago. Big Kahuna was the closest shop to us...

    Endras disappointing

Another vote for Apex. One of the few places where the sales team seems genuinely friendly and interested in you as a rider, as well as a potential customer. Used to drop in whenever I was in the area and always ended-up buying *something*, just because I wanted to reward the experience...

    longer term bike storage

Yeah, I put up an ad as soon as I got the news.

    longer term bike storage

Hey all, Looking for recommendations for longer term, *reasonably priced* bike storage in the GTA. I have to leave the province for an indefinite period of time and can't take the bike with me. Also having to give up my apartment, so leaving it there is not an option. Don't know when I'll be...

    Recommend me a bike

That is really sexy. Way out of my budget range, but loving it a lot more than the GS 800 or 1200. Put 3 aluminum hard cases on that and a bunch of farkles and I'd call it my *forever bike*...

    Upgrading to R3 from a Ninja 250?

Actually, I really enjoyed riding it. All over the country. Had a blast and thought it was a fun bike. Favorite bike I've owned so far. Would buy another one in a hearbeat, if other attributes weren't more important now. Anyway...Gonna just ride what I've got, the way I prefer and not worry...

    Oh Deer.. I went down..

+1 on the glad to hear this was something you walked away from! Hitting a deer is one of the biggest fears lurking in my head on rides - even more than left turns, lane invaders and whatever else we may encounter day-to-day. Always thought it would be a "final exit" kind of situation if it did...

    Upgrading to R3 from a Ninja 250?

If you don't know, then there's no explaining. Just because a race horse can run, doesn't mean you have to run it to death, until it's ready for the glue factory... Have some respect for your equipment.

    Upgrading to R3 from a Ninja 250?

Put 124,000KM on my R6, never going above 9,000 rpm. Just passed 109,000 KM on my 1200, not going above 6,000 rpm... Just because a bike *can* redline, doesn't mean that where it should spend most of its time. Focus group of one...

New riders: should we armour up?

Up to you... Here's a fact - the #1 motorcycle injury is severed feet, so burly boots do more than look cool and are worth the hassle of putting on for your ride. Those trendy ankle boots from Puma, etc, don't do &%$# for protection. They just look cool if you're hanging at the mall. Your...

    Upgrading to R3 from a Ninja 250?

Depends on what you want to do and how long you want to keep your bike for. The advantage of bigger bore bikes is that you don't sustain high revs at hi way speeds over longer distances, so less wear and tear on the engine over time. A small engine is going to suffer more riding at high rpm for...

You wear motorcycle boots....what socks keep your feet the coolest on these warm days

Another vote for wool. I wear shorty Smartwool socks, available at any running or outdoor store. Keep my feet warm when it's cold, cool when it's hot and absorb moisture when I'm either sweating to death or its raining. Much better than polyester. And they don't smell, so great for multi day...

good photography spots in southern ontario Niagara Region

Will be there myself in about 10 hours from now... :) The nicest way in is via Middlebrook Road/Township Rd 62 from Elora. Very nice stretch of country road that's a treat to ride.
