Thats so true. Most of the japanese bikes from the 80s and early 90s look horrible. Although there are some ducatis from the same period that arent much of lookers either.
Kinda makes you think if the r6's and h2's of today are going to be considered ugly in 30 years.
This will probably be my next bike in a couple years when they depreciate a bit and my insurance goes down. Although they are VERY good value even brand new! Too bad about the insurance.
I used to not like the looks that much but they look great in real life. Especially in black with those gold...
Damn a 6 cylinder 250?? How small are those cylinders?? They must be the size of a pencil
Realistically, all one-offs and uncommon bikes aside, id go for the cbr 500r.
This is a pointless question tho because none of the sub 600cc bikes are built to be track ready. Theyre all built with ease...
For some reason "School Bikes" brings to my mind images of a row of yellow gixxers lined up outside the kindergarten, ready to ferry children home safely and quickly :)
Ya, ya I know. :p This isnt the first bike I've towed though. Towed my 250r like 50km with no issues. Probably just a heavier bike. Shouldve used more straps and made them tighter. Live and learn. I told myself the next bike I buy I'm just going to get from a shop so I don't have to worry about...
Haha ya. I'm in no rush to replace them.
But not expensive. The one piece that really got destroyed was just a little piece near the rear around the pillion seat, just a tiny simple little chunk of plastic. I found one on ebay for $34.95.
Luckily the large front fairing is more or less ok, that...
Thanks, the damage isnt too bad. The cheap plastics kind of acted like crumple zones and saved the important parts. Frame sliders helped too. No major damage. All the plastics that were damaged can be replaced. Bike is still totally rideable, still passed safety with no issues, thank god.
Let me tell you what happened to me this weekend.
I tried to do the responsible thing and spent 2 hours getting a trailer, borrowing a car that can tow a trailer from family, because my 2 door coupe won't tow anything, borrowing straps to tie the bike down. Got the bike on the trailer, drove...
Im with rider's plus. Theyre a little GTA based company that insures only motorcycles. Theyre pretty much the only real option for bike insurance when youre a young male. Theyre half the price of any other quotes I got.
They do have some weird ways of doing things though. Like to cancel my last...
Naw they closed at 5 and I called them at 430 there was no time to set up anything. The bike might still find itself out of the garage this weekend tho ;)
EDIT: I just found a replacement for the plastic piece that broke when the bike fell for $34.95 on ebay. So, score! I think I broke the...
Well, the safety is all done. She passed with flying colors.
However, on the way there tragedy struck!
My poor bike fell over in the trailer :'(
Its not too bad really. The frame sliders did their job. Only damage is a cracked part of the rear fairing. I really tiny part of the fairing that...
Thanks!
I don't expect there will be any issues I've already taken the whole bike apart pretty much over the winter, doing all my fluid changes and stuff, and didnt see anything. I'd be really surprised if anything comes up. Knock on wood!
I'll see you out there this weekend! :D (hopefully)
Today's the day!
We've had a bit of rain to wash the salt away so I think todays the day I bring my new bike in to get safetied so I can ride over the weekend.
Ive rode it alot out in the country already but my shop is a good 15min away in the middle of downtown St. Catharines so I think I'm...
Damn it. I tried to google it too and the only thing I found out is that you can buy 1/25th sized models of classic gas pumps. I guess there are people that collect those...
So I guess someone will have to buy that gas pump and measure it out.
EDIT: I solved it!!!!!! So the switch is in the...
Holy **** you just blew my mind.
I don't know what is real anymore.
Never thought of that. Id love to see a schematic of a typical gas pump or something to try and figure out exactly how much gas I need to pump into the nearest garbage can when I want premium haha
BTW, loneronin, this is why...
