Im of the opinion that any bike below 650cc that isn't an SS is perfectly fine for a new rider of normal physical stature. That goes for cruisers, standards, adventure bikes and everything in between.

So I met up with a guy with a blue second gen SV and we thought it would be interesting to take a ride down to mexico and run em on some country roads.
3 dig races, FZ took it by 2-4 lengths at the 1/8th and was pulling away rapidly at the end. 2 roll ons from 30 and 60, SV got the jump on...
Yes it is well known the restriction it was made to comply with. I addressed this issue in a previous post as well claiming that it would have been nice if they un- neutered the bike when they decided to sell in other markets that do not have the same restrictions.

It makes closer to 80hp and the old FZ6 isn't even the same tier of motorcycle so comparing them is a waste of time. The 6R is of the same ilk as the 650 class of bikes, SV650/Ninja 650/CBR650F etc

All wrong but it's ok. I voiced my opinion that Honda's are lacking soul these days and then backed it up with more information. Nothing more i can do to satisfy the know it alls.
