Might be a silly question. But since I have never riden a season in Canada thought Id ask. Is it too late in the season to purchase a bike now? Should I save my money and wait till Feb-March?
Also when do people usually ride until ?
Im thinking September it probably slows down?
Thanks
Alan

I am pretty certain I could lookup and find cases of defects/faulty parts etc that caused crashes/deaths on all line of motorcycle makes....suzuki/honda/bmw/kawasaki.....etc.

the suspension is lacking I noticed from the test ride, it has a custom shock installed on the back, will see what can be done in the front to help it.
i did have fun on it for sure.
Hey Mike,
Yeah the one at GP looks good too. 4 hour drive away though.(there and back)
Yeah I wasnt impressed but he sent an apology after, he mentioned that the battery is under the tank and its not a 5 minute job, that his service staff had been run off their feet and had actually clocked...
I took the F800S out for a test ride. I had a lot of fun. Reminded me a lot of my old sv650s
Things I noticed
- chugs a lot slowing down in gears
- when braking it feels like a constant small chug , maybe this is what ABS feels like on a bike
- the suspension was a little stiff going over bumps...

After work yesterday I called into the dealer as it's on my way home. I had scheduled a test for it this evening (thursday) and I will continue to take the test ride.

Thanks DJM for the good feedback. Some good things to take into consideration there.
On a side note, where would you be able to find out any recalls that are still current on this bike?
Thanks Sunny for the information. Are they really still covering it now. I read they did do recalls however I also read the recall stopped in 2010 (they recalled for 3 years).
Nice bike by the way. A little over my budget. The bike im looking at is 2G less.
Hello,
I am looking to purchase a BMW F800S. 2007. With 17000kms.
I have read a lot of mixed reviews. A lot of good ones. The bad ones are mainly about the rear wheel axle bearings and shaft. Seemingly there was a problem with a number of these bikes, where the belt would slip 2-3mm. In some...
