The right side is a lot more worn than the left side, can I reverse the direction for the rear only? for Track days only.
There are still tons of meat left in the front tire, not gonna bother to change direction.
Will it be safe to do so?
Thanks
Thank you, I understand now, I will get my shock and forks serviced soon.
btw I highly recommend the following videos by Dave Moss

tirewear video, very informative
http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/6516891
the tire is BT-003, rotation is from left to right.
top tread: leading edge is rough and much taller than the trailing edge
bottom tread: leading edge is lower than the trailing edge, the trailing edge looks intact with little signs of tire wear
I watched some of the tire wear videos by...
I agree with you,
under 1:25 -> red,
over 1:32 -> green
anything in between ->intermediate
close to 1:15 you are talking about within 2 seconds of lap records
turn 6 help plz?
I think we can all agree Jamie's intention is good. Although I am not sure about the bump he mentioned in the last corner leading to the front straight.
plz continue I want to learn
to be fair I think most of what Jamie said is correct for someone who is new/starting doing TDs. You really can't expect a beginner to downshift+brake and make 2/3 in 1 turn.
wow thanks guys!
To Caboose483:
the surface in TMP in my opinion is mostly smooth, so what changes should I do with my suspension for Shannonville to help with the bumpy surface? Do I decrease my rebound damping a bit (to avoid "packing") and decrease the high/low compression damping?
Thanks!
I've never been to shannonville and was told the surface is not in good shape.
Just wondering how does the surface in shannonville compare to TMP? are there any nasty bumps that I should be aware of?
Personally I think the worst surfaced corner in TMP is the turn 6 left hander.
Thanks in...
you can't go wrong with Yamaha, their fit and finish is world class. Everything they do from piano to motorcycle to helping Toyota tune the LF-A, their quality is absolutely top class.

I am planning to change the fork oil and seals myself, but I don't have any special tools to do such a job
I heard most people use the above kit,
just wondering where I can buy the equivalent of those locally?
thanks!
I was so used to riding softer carcass tires before(Michelin), now I have switched to race tires and the BT-003pro's carcass is very, very stiff. I heard Dunlop’s are very stiff as well.
I think with softer carcass I feel more "planted", and with harder carcass I feel more unsettled for some...
