    Ya that's what I'm thinking...research is proving to get 17" rims etc is a lot of dough...u think it's worth just getting street tires on stock rims and doing the track requirements to get some lapping days and sumo school in??

    Buy a green plated bike....call SF or TD and get liability insurance on the great plated bike...if needed get some training wheels and research which trails are small and wide enough...I taught me 4 yr old at the baxter tract.

    200-400cc dual sport for big rider?

    I'm 6'2" about 245...my xr400 works great. As side from sprockets and proper jetting the thing keeps up to any ktm or yamaha in single track. At that point it's rider ability and I have smoked any newer expensive 4 stroke. Oil changes and general maintenance honda reliability at its best...

    Those chinese dirt bikes are garbage...save your money and get a decent used Honda, yamaha, kawasaki or Suzuki all are good reliable affordable bikes in the 100-250cc range

    80 or 100 way to small.depends what you want. Get something like a CRf250 ttr200 for all around riding fun or a more maintenance motocross bike like a yzf250 ktm rmz etc..for more thrills... also I started my lil guy is a ttr50 with training wheels...e start works wonders when they fall...
