Just wondering what people do to make thieves look at their bikes and say "Naaah...let's move on to something easier..."
Do people use a combination of things? Like a loud brake disc rotor 120 decibel alarm plus a thick chain? etc...
Thx people!
Thx, I did Google and found a bunch. I think I'll start a thread on preventative measures that people use. How do people make their bike a high hanging fruit vs a low hanging fruit??
LOL!! I wish I could park my bike next to my desk...would get rid of all the wallpapers and just stare at my bike!.
When you say, his bike was taken from him...meaning a gun to the head and hand over the keys?!??!? Or was just stolen when no one was looking??
Oh wow...I look at this and my brain wonders...am I crazy?? Then the heart just steps in and says...just be careful and enjoy!
Thx everyone for the detailed explanation of a high side and a low side.
Yeah, I am planning to do it in May. It's okay to do it in the rain...probably the only time I'll be out in rain with experts telling me how to tackle it...should be a good learning process...registered today...can't wait!
So I spoke to Fawaz from Racer5 today. Details below:-
Stages 1 - 3 cost $899.00 + HST = $1015.87 total (this INCLUDES the bike rental, so I was worrying for nought)
Gear rental = $50 / day + HST = $150 (for three days) + HST = $169.50 (you will need this unless you have one piece leather or two...
2017 Panigale 959 Arctic White...I haven't even picked it up yet...will probably take delivery in April sometime...can't wait...counting down the days!! :D
Oh wait...I think I read racer5's website wrong...the bike rental is included in the price (or at least I think so reading it a second time). Hopefully they'll get back to me soon and I can confirm.
Oh man! I wanted to bring my own bike...damn...FAST is 248 kms (one way) from my home. Racer5 on the other hand is only 173 kms (one way) :-)
How DO you guys do this???
But in all seriousness, I just wanted to get a good feel for my new bike before I do track days. I'm an extremely...
Hey guys,
Just wondering if you guys know if Racer5 allows you to bring your own bike for the stage 1-3 courses?
Can anyone also vouch for them? I've left them a message through their contact us form and also called today and left a VM but haven't heard back. Am I calling completely off...
Thx for all the advice guys, MUCH appreciated.
Basically, let go a little of my bike, not unlike children going away for university :-)
@Ashtonator, thx, I think I'll definitely do that...put the bike dead centre in a full car length spot.
What about working out a deal with the open parking...
Thx Baggsy, I'll have a look on my way in today. Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing a bike rack next to the CBC build, but I'm not sure if any motorbikes park there. Will have to see.
Wow...of course I'll have insurance...is there some special kind of insurance that would cover me specifically for parking downtown? Thought my regular insurance would do that...but I will of course still worry, because
a. I'm in love with my bike :-)
b. Insurance premiums would increase on...
