I'm not at ATGATT evangelist - wear shorts if you want. But really - plumber butt is so *not* a good look on a motorcycle....
(DVP southbound at Richmond. My eyes were burning, so I didn't see the bike :-)
4 weeks doesn't sound like enough time! I'm driving from Vancouver to Thunder Bay in three weeks, just to give us enough time to see stuff on the way. (And then we're doing the 16-18 hour mammoth slog from T-Bay to Toronto in two days :).

It's more like 1-2 *Months*. Although depending on where you get your gas, it might already be old by the time it comes out of the ground...
I use the motomaster stuff, and I've never had problems with any of the bikes or the yard tools.
They changed the law a little while back (quietly) - it used to say "less than 60 degrees from the curb" - it now also says "more than 45 degrees". So he's technically parked illegally.
OTOH I've never seen a parking enforcement guy care about these tiny details :)
A UVIP can be ordered online - they mail it to you. (you can do this with plate stickers now too!)
I suspect people are reluctant simply because they don't know any better - this is still a relatively new process.
It's really easy if you're trying to cross any of the points where the grid changes direction, like say driving from Bradford to Erin. (He says in a "learn from my fail" way... )
At the suggestion of all the contributors to the previous threads on this topic (why yes, I do use the search box :-), I tried the technique of stopping my bike *on the black line* covering the sensor wire. This worked for me at all three intersections where I used to get stuck at the red...
While I agree that there's no need to be mean, "search before posting" is mentioned in the T's&C's that you have to agree to when you sign up here. Am I the only one who reads these things? :-)
