Ride your damn bikes to work
All the usual spots are taken by cages today. I had to park really far and was almost late. Common guys we need to represent, Rain or Shine!
I ask because when I encounter people on the street, they usually give me the bull crap about this type of behaviour making motorcyclists appear as "bad". I wanted to see if this opinion also exists here. This thread is an excellent discussion on the safety aspect of lane filtering. In practice...
If are interested in meeting up and looking at my shiver and asking me some questions then you can pm me. Were you looking at the 07-09 or the 10 + version ?
Op, it would be interesting if you can put a poll at the top of this thread. Just see the census of this community to see how many want lane sharing legalized and how many do not.
I have an aprilia shiver. Its a fun bike that will get you lots of attention... I really like it because it has tri-map. You can use Sports which is super twitchy instant throttle response fun, then there is Touring mode which is very smooth and very usable for around town, and finally Rain mode...
I was really luck to have my MSC rain all weekend. It was really cold and crappy out, but it gave me the confidence to ride in the rain. All I can say is take it easy and ride as if you are riding the bike for the first time. You need to get the feel for the bike as if its new to you again...

I guess it depends on what bike you are trying to sell. When I sold my DRZ 400, I let the buyer take it for a spin but thats because its pretty much bomb proof. Now when selling sports bikes or other expensive bikes with fairings, I would only let the person ride the bike after the cash is in...
Filtering refers to a traffic jam which is standing still at a red light and the rider will slowly ride by everyone using the middle line to get right up to the traffic light. Splitting is when traffic is moving.
