Got the fender, but am still looking for a wheel. Anyone with an unneeded front wheel from a 2005+ GSXR 1000 or 2006+ GSXR 600/750 - stop hoarding and PM me!
All jokes aside, my first statement was simply to inquire as to what is the best way to let someone know that you don't want to ride along side in the same lane. How did you let him know that you didn't like it? Did you think it would be simply sufficient to post here?
Regarding lane...
Hmm, I wonder how would you let someone know that you don't want them to ride with you in the same lane? Wave your hands around like crazy or just shove them to the side with your clutch hand :)
With the way that people drive/ride in Toronto I don't see a point in even pretending to think...
Looking for some minor parts for a gen 2 naken SV650, specifically:
Right rider rearset / footrest
Belly pan / chin spoiler
Also looking for a complete GSXR front wheel (rim and both rotors) and front fender. Acceptable models/years: 2005-2010 GSXR1000 and 2006-2010 GSXR600/750.
Last but not...
Re: I Saw You, Are you on this forum? V.2.0.
While I have no problems with people taking pictures of myself or other riders and posting it, I politely ask that you at least do it so it is appealing to look at and not take any additional risks while you drive. IMHO this is not pleasant to look...
In theory the app could support this, but in practice if you want to keep safe distances between riders, you will probably fall out of range a lot. For example, at 60 km/h a gap of 1 second equates to 55 ft. To stay connected as you ride at varying distances like that you need something that can...
There is also the option of buying a prepaid SIM card for your existing unlocked phone. Gives you the option to add data much more inexpensively than if you were roaming.
It needs iOS 5 for some of the core functions. I may be able to release an update that would allow older versions to run it with reduced functionality.
You keep doing that and you'll feel all beat up by the end of the ride ;).
You can shut it off, but realistically considering iPhone is all touch based you will not want to fiddle with the buttons while riding. I just have it in my pocket when I use this. The amount of wind noise you get depends greatly on the combination of headset/helmet/windscreen you have, and...
Bluetooth earpiece would also work. If you have already used it for taking regular calls while riding, you know how much wind affects that particular headset. This would work in exactly the same way. At lower speeds I found that the difference between mic hanging outside the helmet vs inside...
I use Sennheiser MM-30i. It's in-ear so cuts out a bit of wind noise too. I find the most challenging part to talking while riding is the wind noise at high speed. I'm waiting for some custom moulded sleeves for my headset to be made, hopefully that will cut the noise even better.
Leather items - wipe with a damp cloth. Works best if the cloth has a fuzzy towel-like surface, moistened with hot or warm water (melts the bug juice faster).
Textile items - read instructions on the item's label. Some can be machine washed, but others are hand wash only.
My helmet is supposed...
Disclosure: this is actually a shameless plug for my iPhone app, but hopefully someone will find it useful.
For those who do a lot of riding with a passenger, you probably have a communication system of sorts worked out, to let the other person know that you need to stop or what not. After a...
