Yes I thought the same thing as they wanted minumum 800km.But the weather was not permitting.I called wear check and He said not a problem since I wasnt looking for coolant or wanting to know how much the oil was good for.I aslo ran that 457Km from 6000-10000km continuously

Today I went for a 200km ride in all ranges of rpm and came back home to open up the new filter and it had absoluty nothing in it.I will check it again in another 1000Km just to be sure but so far so good. and no leaks :)...I like that lol

Thanks:) This 1000RR is the worst honda I have ever had for leaks.I bought it with 5000km's on it and it's one leak after another with this thing,The head was leaking were you see the timing chain guides,there is a oil pressure port to lube the cams.This engine was not put together right.My oil...

Yes I have done this numerous times and all according the original shop manual.I should of pulled the filter off before I did the job and put in a new one and looked at it.But I will run it for a bit and pull the filter again.I ordered a magnetic drain plug too.But there was absolutely nothing...

Thanks for the reply.I guess Before I do that I will run the bike with fresh oil and a fresh filter for a good 1000km and then pull the filter and look at it again.Hopefully it's nothing.

I had a leaking head gasket and my valves were due to be checked so I pulled the engine,put a new head gasket,Checked the valves and at the same time put a new tension and cam chain.I flushed the oil from the the top when the head was back on with 4 litres of cheap bike oil,then dumped it...
