    Parking in Woodbine Beach?

I always go to woodbine beach in Toronto atleast once every weekend because I find it so relaxing just sitting by the rocks and watching the day turn into night. I usually go on my bike and I've never had any issues. Went last night on my cage and got a $105 ticket. I went around 2am and was...

    Students owning bikes & Osap

I disagree. This is clearly a case of over taxation. The bikes that we buy privately have already been taxed when they were sold new. Why are we being taxed twice on the same product? if you give me a way of avoiding being taxed twice, you better believe I'll take it. I've declared $1500 on my...

    Students owning bikes & Osap

To answer the OP's question, OSAP allows you to own a vehicle (car, motorcycle, etc) that is up to $5000 in value. They consider anything more than 5k as a luxury, and therefore will not provide any assistance. I had to remove the car I owned at the time (it was worth about 15k) to my mom's name...

Planning a ride down to the US with my brother over the Canada day weekend. Leave saturday early morning, come back sunday night / monday early morning. We're completely open on the route, but nothing too far (florida, texas, etc) as this is the first time we'll be riding 5+ hrs from home. I'll...

Best Sport Touring Tire for the Rain?

I need a new rear tire on my GSXR 600, the tire that the bike came with are the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT. The tire was amazing but the rear only lasted about 5k kms (buyer put it on new for me as term of sale). Granted, I was a bit aggressive on the throttle, to put it mildly. I'm looking for...

Lane change in an intersection Legal or not?

I was followed by a cop on my cage after I broke a red by mistake and I changed lanes in between an intersection. He put his cherries up and told me that is illegal and I can be ticketed for it. He also said he saw me break the red. He let me go with a warning, but lesson learned!

Best Place to take for Maintenance?

My GSXR 600 just hit 30,000 kms. Looking to bring it in for the scheduled maintenance. Heard very bad reviews about Suzuki of Newmarket, is there another suzuki dealer in the gta area that has good reviews? Also is it better to go the dealership for maintenance or a small shop? Don't wanna be...

Where to Mount GoPro on Bike?

Thinking of mounting my GoPro right above the front wheel. Has anyone done that? Also, will mounting it there restrict air flow, as I'm sure the engine sucks in air from that area to cool itself? In the pic attached I've labelled the exact place I want to mount it. Just want to hear if anyone...

    Engine died under Hard Acceration

Is there any way to know if the stator is about to fail? I've ridden a few times after that incident and the bike has been riding fine. Right now, I'm thinking its the kickstand switch that may have dropped a bit. But if its a stator issue, that's cause for concern.

    Engine died under Hard Acceration

The bike started right up. I know all about the suzuki stator problems, had a sv650 before this gixxer and had to replace the stator. If it's gonna cost $600 to replace, and it's sure to eventually die on me, I'm better off selling this bike now. Maybe i'll just stick to CBR's.

    Engine died under Hard Acceration

The engine turned off immediately. Pretty sure I didnt hit the kill switch, but then again, who knows for certain. I'm suspecting maybe the kickstand may have been pulled down a bit, or the sensor acting up around it?

    Engine died under Hard Acceration

Hey guys Had a bit of a scare yesterday, was on my 2007 GSXR 600 and was getting off the lakeshore exit and onto the Gardiner ramp when I overtook a slow truck and put the bike under hard throttle. All of a sudden the engine turned off on me. I was at around 12k rpm and accelerating hard. I...
