No problem Jack!
I'm going to stay closer to town and explore a few trails i found today. On Bayview just north of Stoufville on the east side. Full on dirt bike trails, i don't know where the entrance is though. You can see it on Google Earth. Also some grassy double trails on Bayview just...
Jack, yeah we can head east. I'll message you Sat morning when i'm leaving Burlington so we can figure out a time to meet. Likely be near you sometime around noon but i'll try earlier.
Yun, i didn't receive any texts, not sure why. I'll text you my number maybe you have it wrong.
I'll be waking up in Burlington then straight home and will be ready to come out, i'll text you guys and meet up. I'll have the rest of the day to ride!
Saturday is looking good for me DVS, anyone else down for some shenanigans?
I went there last weekend by myself...a lot scarier when you're alone. Rode over a few trees but got stuck on the way out! Took me a good 20 minutes to push my bike out!
Yes that exact trail. It looked scary... because it is! I'll be staying out of there for a bit.
lets clear some space in the woods, i have a reciprocating saw and a long extension cable!
Re: First Bike Purchase - Street or Dual Sport - Thoughts + Considerations Apprecia
I used to have a CBR250 during uni and used it for commuting. Wasn't too comfortable in traffic or on long runs. Now i have a DR650. Love the dual sport. I'm 5'11" 150lbs and i find the height/weight of this...
We had a blast Steve! Found some crazy single-track trails. Also went down into the forest beside that ski hill we came to last time but didn't dare enter. Long, rocky and slippery downhill with some muddy puddles at the end. I fell/tipped like 5 times haha. Bike's filthy now :)
We gotta...
Check out http://www.oftr.ca/. You need to buy the seasonal membership (around $90). They have a list of the trails on the left side "Where to Ride"
I'm just starting out also on a DR650SM (with knobby wheels also). Went to Airport Road/Hwy 89. One street west is "5 Line E" . Lots of fun...
Great ride guys. I flew like superman and have some fixing to do, but i've got no complaints! If anything i'm happy because i got over the falling part - as you noticed. I've emailed OFTR about a membership, so next time we may be able to check out the OFTA trails also.
I'm going to get started around 930 and hope to be done by 1030. Doesn't seem too hard so perhaps earlier. I'll ride up to meet with you guys wherever you are! I've got Liam and DVS's numbers.
